Three miles further is the wonderful village of Ashover. Located in the Amber Valley and close to the popular town of Matlock, this great location offers a nine-hole golf course and several good pubs including the Crispin Inn - renowned as one of the oldest pubs in the Peak District. Famous for its warm springs, Matlock also offers a host of fine eateries, good shops and a fascinating museum. The town centre boasts Leys Hall Park, a lovely setting for recreational activities such as bowls, tennis and boating. Gulliver's Kingdom, Matlock Gorge and The High Peak Cycle Trail are all close by, making this a wonderfully diverse area.
