Ramshorn is a lovely wooded hamlet just a quarter of an hour’s walk away from the UK’s number one theme park, Alton Towers. The park offers rides and attractions aimed at everyone, and the Alton Towers Resort is home to a fantastic water park, spa, and the Extraordinary Golf course. The area has more to offer too, including the nearby market town of Ashbourne, with its narrow cobbled alleys, antique stores and selection of good pubs and restaurants. The Peak District and the Derbyshire Dales are close, and Chatsworth House, Dovedale, Haddon Hall, and the picturesque Derbyshire villages of Hartington, Ilam and Tissington are also easy to get to. The area caters well for outdoor enthusiasts, and walking, cycling, rock climbing, pot holing, horse riding, golf and more are all on offer here.
