Situated in beautiful countryside on the Staffordshire Moorlands is the charming Peak village of Longnor. Set with the River Dove to the east and the River Manifold to the west, this quaint little town makes an excellent centre for those wishing to tour the area. The cobbled market square is still very much a central part of the town and a scale of market charges is still posted on a board outside the market hall. Boasting several shops, a Post Office, tea shop, great craft centre and a beautiful church, the village is well served by its own local amenities, however, only slightly further a field are Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, the Spa town of Buxton, the attractive market town of Bakewell and Alton Towers theme park, making this wonderful, centrally located spot an ideal starting point when setting out to explore the region.
