Torr’s Cottage retains interesting original features including beams and feature fireplaces to create a traditional olde worlde ambience. The comfortable accommodation arranged over three floors includes two bedrooms, fitted kitchen, cosy ground floor snug with open fire, and first floor sitting room. To the outside of the property is an unusual outdoor 'grotto' with inset lighting and a pretty spiral staircase to a decked balcony area. The cottage is ideally placed for exploring Wirksworth and the attractions and amenities of the surrounding area.

The delightful market town of Matlock on the edge of the White Peak offers many buildings of architectural interest, including an impressive parish church. The National Stone Centre, ancient "jitties" and courtyards, and the wonderful surrounding countryside including Carsington Water and the High Peak Trail are all waiting to be explored. Wirksworth is the home of the lively carnival that celebrates the ancient Derbyshire tradition of Well Dressing, and the annual Arts festival attracts international performers of every kind. There are many opportunities for some great outdoor pursuits around here, including rock climbing, cycling and walking. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Matlock Bath and its cable car, Gulliver’s Kingdom, and the newly restored Ecclesbourne Valley Railway are all close by. Wirksworth provides a great location for an enjoyable and varied holiday.
