Vacation Rental Description
Graded 4-star by Visit England, the cottage is centrally heated throughout and offers an elegant king-size master bedroom, a country-style twin bedroom, a generously equipped dining kitchen, luxurious lounge with card and games table, plus a lawn and patio and outside lock-up storage. Quality bed linen, hot water, electricity and heating (controlled by you)are included. There is off-road parking for two cars and Wifi access.

Monyash is a 'honeypot' village within the unspoilt Peak District National Park. The cottage is set back from the village duck pond (mere) and is just 140 metres from the village green, where the village inn and tea shop serve food seven days a week. It lies on the Limestone walking trail and close to cycling trails, on the edge of Lathkill Dale, with all other Derbyshire Dales nearby, including Dove Dale.
There are seven friendly, family-run pubs within five kilometres, all serving home-cooked food, with open fires in the winter.
Just 7 kilometres away is Bakewell, the picture postcard town famous for Bakewell puddings and shops selling local produce. Here there are some superb restaurants. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, stately homes with extensive parkland, lie just beyond Bakewell. Films shot here include The Duchess, The Other Boleyn Girl, Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre.
The UK's premier theme park, Alton Towers, and the premier observatory, Jodrell Bank, are both less than an hour away by car.
The Peak District offers stunning views with high hills and tranquil valleys. There are some wonderful caves to visit as well as the UK's only Tram Museum, a carriage museum, toy museum and cable cars across a picturesque gorge. Arbor Low, an ancient stone henge, is just outside the village. Alton Towers, the UK's most comprehensive theme park, is a fifty minute drive away. Compehensive information and maps are provided in the cottage.
Whether you want to drive and admire the views, walk or cycle, you cannot find a better location. The people of the Peak District will make you so welcome and crime is almost non-existent. The owner of The Coach House, Ruth, lives next door and can help you during your stay with anything you require. She takes a great pride in providing little extras and keeping the cottage spotlessly clean. Come and find out for yourself!

I am Ruth, the owner of The Coach House. Since I advertised on Vacation Rental People I am yet to take a booking from this site, so no guests comments can yet be made. If anyone would like to see photocopies of the guest book comments, which are superb, I can arrange that.
The cottage is in a most friendly village with a popular pub and tea shop. It is surrounded by The Derbyshire Dales and all the stunning sites of the Peak District, Britain's first National Park.
I live next door so, in addition to the huge amount of information in the cottage, I am usually on hand to help with anything you need.
My standard of hygiene is top notch, having had a professional training in hygiene matters.
I have lived many places but realise this is as good as it gets, so came back to where I was brought up. I am sure you would love it too.
