Vacation Rental Description

Silver Howe Cottage is perfectly situated in the heart of 'Old' Ambleside. It is stone built and older than it looks, forming part of the original village, slightly above the present Victorian one. The cottage has full central heating with an optional open fire. Ambleside is a pretty, bustling village with all necessary amenities. It has many different types of shops, restaurants, pubs, art galleries and a small 4 screen cinema.
This is a very popular area for Walkers, and several excellent walks start and finish in the village. It is most centrally situated for access to other parts of the Lake District.

As Ambleside is the centre of The Lake District, it is only a short distance to most activities listed above. Those NOT in the village, but very close are:- Golf (Windermere), Adventure sports, ('Go Ape', Grizedale),
Theatre (Keswick)

Facilities in the Cottage

Cooking Utensils, Tumble Dryer, DVD Player, Heating, Kitchen, Microwave, Open Fire, Refrigerator, TV, Washing Machine

One bedroom has a king-sized bed, another has twin beds and the third has adult sized bunk beds. The two main bedrooms have hair driers and all have feather pillows and quilts. There is an extra television in the main bedroom. A Shower over the bath and seperate toilet.
The lounge has recently been up dated, and now has a wooden floor with rugs for extra warmth and new sofas.
There is a large, warm and dry cellar underneath, which currently houses a table tennis table.
Both the owner and her daughter are interested in art and have covered the walls in pieces they like!

Cottage Rental Rates

Low Season Price : £300
High Season Price : £450 per Week
A deposit will secure the booking, with full payment due one month before your holiday.
Deposits will only be returnable at short notice if the owner is able to re-book the cottage.
Monies are payable by cheque, direct to the owners home. All this to be arranged by email or phone.
Change over day is Saturday. People are asked to vacate by 12 mid-day and arrive after 2.p.m.
Peak times are all school holidays.
