Delightful cottage in South Lakes area with all accommodation on ground level. Convenient for walkers in the fells or coastal paths. The Lake District National Park in the UK is an area of outstanding natural beauty, which is suitable for a vacation at any time of the year.
It is situated just 3 miles from the foot of Windermere just off the main A590 and superbly positioned for major tourist attractions in the South Lakes area. Haverthwaite Steam Railway, South Lakes Wild Animal Park, Aquarium of the Lakes and Grizedale Forest Visitor Centre are all within easy reach. The historic village of Cartmel has a priory as well as the famous racecourse.
You can catch a train from the Haverthwaite Steam Railway Museum to Lakeside, visit the Aquarium of the Lakes or take a steamer across Windermere to Bowness or Ambleside.
Heights View, a detached bungalow, is ideal accommodation for a walking holiday and for lovers of the lakes. It lies in extensive landscapes gardens opposite the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway Station. 5 miles from the Lakeland market town of Ulverston and 3 miles from the foot of Windermere, it is an ideal base for touring the southern lakes.
Heights View accommodates 10 people and offers 2 travel cots and high chairs for babies. The latelet price quoted is for up to 7 people and 2 babies. An additional 3 can be accommodated at an extra charge or £10 per person per night.
The bungalow is very spacious.
The accommodation is to a high standard and offers all the comforts of a modern home. Heights View offers 1 king, 1 Triple, and a bunk room. In addition there is a pull out single bed, 1 sofabed in the family lounge, 1 large bathroom with shower over bath, a second lounge, dining kitchen,
conservatory with additional dining area.
Wireless Broadband Internet connection is included free of charge and there are 4 tvs.
The landscaped terraced gardens offer two patio areas. The driveway and car port can accommodate 4 cars.
The local pub, the Angler's Arms, serves excellent food and real ale and is only 100 yds away. Food , including hot breakfasts, can also be purchased at the Haverthwaite Steam Railway across the road.
The cottage benefits from double and triple glazing and oil fired central heating, making it very cosy even in the winter months.
Since it was introduced to the rental market in mid-August 2003 it has consistently received better than average ratings for 'match the description' and 'value for money' our customer feedback survey.
