    • The world famous nature reserve of the Farne Islands - offering the chance to watch nesting puffins and seals and close quarters - is just a short boat ride away from the quaint Seahouses harbour. 
    There are an abundance of beautiful beaches on the doorstep - arguably the finest stretches of sandy beaches in the whole of the UK, while the spectacular beachside Bamburgh Castle - backdrop of many a major feature film, is just a short walk away. 
    Other world-famous castles, including Alnwick Castle (Hogwarts School in the Harry Potter films) are just a short drive away. 
    Northumberland's pubs and inns offer some of the friendliest welcomes you are ever likely to fine anywhere, and they also provide a superb, comfortable setting, often by an open fire, for some superb food and drink. 
    This stretch of coastline also offers some of the best diving opportunities in the British Isles, with diving boats operating straight out of Seahouses harbour.
