Vacation Rental Description

Katerina's Guest House offers three romantic, four poster bedrooms. Each one is decorated in warm, rich, opulent colours making it an ideal venue for that special night. Once part of an historic Coaching Inn, it has now been fully modernised to bring the past and present together in a pleasing combination. Some rooms have original stone fireplaces and beamed ceilings; all have remote control TV, mini fridges, superbly stocked tea-tray (with home-made treats!) and many other little perks for your enjoyment. Amongst these, you will find a range of quality bathroom toiletries, hairdryers and his and hers dressing gowns.

We offer wide and interesting choices for evening dinner with an extensive and reasonably priced list of wines, spirits and cocktails. Sample Cath’s vegetarian nutballs, Steak Katerina, garlic chicken, Cassata Siciliana or special meringues, all her own recipes!
In the morning come down to the scent of homemade bread and try some of our specialities such as "Scotch porridge" (with real whisky) followed by "Herby Tomatoes", "Continental Platter" or , of course, "Traditional English Breakfast" and many more choices.

The local river (The Coquet) is replete with salmon and trout. Permits are available in the village. This is also where you'll find the playground and children regularly paddle in the shallow river.
Surrounding Rothbury Village is a vast area of splendid walking country including the peaks of the National Park. Areas of Special Scientific Interest protect our unusual fauna and flora. Bird watching is a popular pastime here.
Sailing and water sports are available on Kielder Water, a huge man-made lake and reservoir.
