Garden Cottage is located within the grounds of Eshott Hall, a small historic country estate, set in the splendid border county of Northumberland, close to the Heritage Coastline, and near the Cheviot Hills and National Park. One of the county's most beautiful 17th Century houses, Eshott Hall itself sits in tranquil rolling lawns surrounded by ancient woodland. The Hall is a 5* Gold Visit Britain and Michelin Listed Facility. Tennis (with coaching) is avialable on the Estate and bikes can be hired. For the walker, a generous network of public footpaths radiates from the Estate with Felton Village only 3 miles across the fields. Alnwick Garden, the Cheviot Hills, the unspoilt coastline and its castles are all nearby. Market town shopping is close to hand in Morpeth and Alnwick, both about 10 minutes drive. Newcastle, its International Airport and mainline Railway Station are only 30 minutes away. The most picturesque train route to Edinburgh takes an hour from Eshott's nearby station at Alnmouth.
