This 60 square metre split-level apartment is part of a recently modernised semi-detached conversion. It is on the first and second floors overlooking the quiet tree-lined street. (As an interesting fact, before it was converted this house was owned by the UK's first lady vicar, on whom the hit comedy series "The Vicar of Dibley" was based. Neighbours say Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders were regular visitors while researching the role!) 
 
Located in a quiet suburb near the beautiful green space of Streatham Common. Streatham Common, and nearby Streatham High Street, have a huge choice of bars, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance, including a large Sainsburys, and there is even a cinema, ice rink and indoor kart racing track nearby!

All our properties are in excellent locations 10 - 20 minutes commute of Central London.

This chic and trendy open-plan split-level apartment has a large first floor lounge kitchen diner that overlooks Ellison Road through two big bay windows, making it always light and bright. The lounge area has ample seating for 5, a top of the range wall-mounted flat screen TV with Freeview. The glossy white integrated kitchen wants for nothing - dual fuel cooker, dishwasher, washing machine etc - and all the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery you might need are provided. The modern glass dining table, with its funky transparent and pink chairs, can seat 4 comfortably.  
 
Going up a few more stairs you reach bedroom 2, with its triple bunk (double lower/single upper) and wall to wall wardrobes. A few stairs further up and you find bedroom 1 with its double bed and ample built in storage. (Please note, beds are made up with only the best quality bedding and high quality towels are provided). Adjacent is the light, bright bathroom with modern white suite consisting of toilet, sink & shower. 
 
Baby cot, high chair and waterproof bedding protectors available on request.

If booking more than 56 days prior to arrival a 25% deposit is required. Balance due 56 days prior to arrival. Rate includes 20% VAT. A card supplement fee of 1% - 2.9% will be added to card payments, dependent upon the type of card you choose to use. Baby Cot, High Chair & Waterproof Bedding Protectors free of charge (on request).
Changeover Fee £80 Security Deposit £200
Shoes Off. NO smoking. NO partying. NO pets. Dishes must be cleaned and rubbish taken out on departure. The apartment should be found in the condition of check in; changeover fee covers disinfection cleaning/bed linens & towels ONLY. Leaving the apartment in a mess will result in cleaning fees being taken from the authorised security deposit.

We live in Balham, in SW London & are specialists in short term lets in the area. We are continually expanding our portfolio of holiday lets to accommodate the needs of not only holidaymakers, but other people who require stays from as little as 3 nights such business executives, those visiting family in Balham/Clapham/Streatham/Tooting/Colliers Wood, or people temporarily requiring a home due to improvements being made to their own & even those who've been unfortunate enough to be forced out of their homes due to accidental damages like fire. Whatever your reason, our comfortable and clean 'home from homes' will provide the high level short term accommodation you require. All of our apartments are within 20 minutes of the centre of London and very close to a Tube or Rail station, or both.

Mike bought his first flat in London about 12 years ago - this is now known as 'Fernlea View'. I emigrated from Canada in 2001 and we have both stayed living in the heart of Balham because we love the vibe of it and the excellent transportation links into Central London. Victoria station is only 11 minutes away on the overground train and we can get to the West End in 15 minutes.

All our our London holiday lets are done to the same high standards and are kept immaculately clean. We take great pride in what we do and draw from a combined 40 years of working in the travel industry. Mike has his own property development company, specialising in basement conversions (Balham Basement Company), so it's easy for me to ensure that all of our places are kept up whilst I concentrate on everything else that is required to provide a comfortable 'home from home' for our guests.

In addition to operating holiday lets in South West London, where we live, we also have a lovely characterful cottage is the Sierra de Aracena in Spain, just northwest of Seville. We love the lush green mountains in this unique area of Spain that doesn't get dry and burnt out like the rest does. It's great for walking, good food & wine and experiencing the 'real Spain'. We try to stay in Casa Castano as often as possible. We walk from little village to village, stopping for tapas and a beer and then, tired out, enjoy the great views from our large roof terrace whilst listening to the birds. In the winter, spring and autumn we always have a real wood fire burning. It's the ultimate place to chill out!
