Darwin Lake Holiday Cottages 
 
Cottages sleep from 4 to 8 guests with total capacity for 102 in 16 marvelous cottages. Darwin Lake's luxury stone cottages cluster around the lake in 10 acre private woodland grounds; guests are welcome to ramble its trails spotting the abundant wildlife. These 4 star cottages are furnished very tastefully and excellently equipped for your stay, nearby is the village pub in Two Dales and many more facilities can be found in Matlock (3 miles). 
 
Darwin Lake is perfect for a tranquil relaxing break or for walking and cycling in some stunning countryside. Local attractions include horse trekking, Peak Steam Railway, lead mining museum, National Tramway Museum and Heights of Abraham cable car rides. 
 
Knockerdown Farm Holiday Cottages 
 
Knockerdown Farm has a wonderful heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, play area and games room. Set in 16 acres of countryside, guests are free to explore its unspoilt and peaceful meadows. There are safe cycling routes and walks closeby. Each luxury 3 & 4 star cottage is equipped with virtually everything needed for your stay, good food is available at Knockerdown's restaurant and close by is the Knockerdown Inn. 
 
Try a pampering session at our Spa with a great variety of popular indulgent treatments. Also nearby is Carsington Water one of the most popular attractions in the Peak District offering water sports (including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and fishing), cycling, walking trails and wildlife events, with its own restaurant, shops and visitor centre. Nether Burrows Holiday Cottages 
 
Set in over 4 acres of beautiful rural Derbyshire countryside, Nether Burrows offers the perfect destination for reunions and celebrations for up to 28 people. Willow Barn and Meadow View each have seven bedrooms along with spacious living accommodation and a fully equipped games room for young and old kids alike! This is a very secluded location so you can party all you like! Outdoors there is plenty of space for activities as well as a beautifully set pond where you are invited to fish or just sit and ponder. 
 
Nether Burrows is the perfect secluded spot for anyone who enjoys the countryside. The added bonus is being a stones-throw from both Derby (4 miles) with it�s many shops including the lively new Westfield Shopping Centre and the bustling historic Market Town of Ashbourne (9 miles) as well as all the delights of the Peak District National Park. These two barn conversions can be booked together or separately.

All cottages are extremely well equipped with everything needed for a self-catering break including all linen, towels and fuel, heat and light (electricity extra at Knockerdown Farm), kitchens are modern and include oven, hob, microwave, etc. and all the utensils and crockery you may need. Most have washer/dryer and dishwasher. Knockerdown Farm Cottages sleep from 2 - 12 guests and a total of 87 in 17 cottages. Darwin Lake has 17 cottages sleeping 4 to 9 each and up to 102 in total. Nether Burrows now has three barn conversions 2 that sleep 14 each and one brand new sleeping 8 - a total of 36 guests can be accommodated here.

Visit Chatsworth House, Carsington Watersports centre, Crich Tramway Museum, Matlock Derbyshire’s inland resort, the Heights of Abraham Cable cars etc. or simply find a secluded spot for a picturesque picnic. 
 
For the more energetic, Alton Towers, Gulliver’s Kingdom Theme Park, Buxton and the Manifold Valley are also within easy reach. With the small bustling towns of Matlock, Ashbourne, Bakewell, a variety of Mill Shops and the Meadowhall shopping centre less than an hour away, spend a day browsing the shops.
