Faversham House is a 1930s building. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. There are comfortable chairs and settees in the lounge and a large dining table. The gardens are well maintained and there is a small river forming part of the boundary. The swimming pool is heated during the summer months.  
 
Chesterfield is a traditional English town with a large market place surrounded by courtyards and alleyways where specialist shops and boutiques can be found. The market is one of the largest in England. There are many cafes and restaurants, many of which are still family run.  
 
North east Derbyshire has many spectacular buildings including Chatsworth House, home of the Duke of Devonshire, Haddon Hall, owned by the Duke of Rutland and Hardwick Hall owned by the National Trust.
