There is so much to do in the pretty, magical village of Thorpeness, but it is also very easy to do nothing in such beautiful surroundings! There is tennis, golf, boating on the Meare with it's magical islands, named after the characters in Peter Pan! Walks along the glorious beach, especially to nearby Aldeburgh with its great shopping for all - boutiques for the ladies, the most perfect sweet shop for the kids and some lovely pubs and high class restaurants. Bird-watching is also a major attraction to this area, as well as the concerts held at the famous Snape Maltings. For the rainy days there is a great local swimming pool around two miles away and a choice of two cinemas both within two miles. Within an hour is the famous city of Norwich with many historical attractions and more shopping opportunities. Thorpeness is a one-off, and noone can really describe the wonderful time they experience in this special place - enjoy!
