Vacation Rental Description
Quaker Hall Barns are two adjoining contemporary barn conversions in the grounds of Quaker’s Hall, each with its own enclosed garden. Set in four acres of garden, meadow and orchard, they have lovely views towards woodland and water meadows. The barns are ideal for large families or groups of friends wanting to come together for a celebration.
Hall Barn has a huge open plan space with double height central sitting room with woodburner, open kitchen, dining area, window seat overlooking the garden, aerial walkway and gallery, glazed window bay with sliding doors to terrace and garden.
There is a large king-size bedroom with dressing area and en-suite bathroom (this bedroom also has a single bed in alcove), double bedroom with four-poster bed, small double bedroom (note 4’ bed), as well as a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is also a small shower/utility room.
Lots of exposed beams and glorious country views combine to make this a wonderfully relaxing place to be. The barn sleeps 7/9 in four bedrooms.
If you want to extend the size of your group you can also rent the barn next door. The main space in Quaker Barn is a large open plan sitting area with wood burning stove overlooked by a raised dining area and kitchen. Cool colours, texture from wooden beams and the knapped flint wall combine to create a very cosy atmosphere. There's a ground floor double bedroom with ensuite shower, twin bedded room with ladder to loft space with two built-in beds, separate bathroom, master bedroom with tiny internal courtyard and ensuite bathroom. Sleeps 6/8 in 3 bedrooms.
If you rent both barns, a trestle extension may be added to the dining table in Hall Barn to allow everyone to eat together.
Haveringland lies between the Broads and the coast, close to the picturesque market town of Aylsham which is convenient for shopping. We also have a very good local farm shop selling the best meat in Norfolk, eggs, free range chickens, beef, lamb and pork, as raised within three miles of the barn. There are a number of good country pubs within a few miles. The beautiful north Norfolk coast offers much: salt marshes with rare birds, the seal trips out to Blakeney Point, fossil-rich cliffs at West Runton, the seaside towns of Cromer, Sheringham and Wells-next-the-Sea. The Norfolk Broads, centred on Wroxham, offer a huge range of boating to explore of this part of the country. The stately homes of Blickling, Mannington and Wolterton are nearby.
If you don't fancy cooking on your arrival you can arrange for local delicatessen to deliver some ready meals so all you have to do is pop your dinner in the oven. They will also come in and cook for a special occasion.

Norfolk has a wonderful selection of historic houses and gardens to visit including many National Trust properties including Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Mannington Hall and Sandringham House, Her Majesty the Queen's Norfolk residence.
There are endless opportunities for watching wildlife from bird watching at Cley-next-the-Sea marshes, Pensthorpe Wildlife Park with its rare and exotic birds, walk-through aviaries and childrens' activities. A visit to Norfolk is not complete without a boat trip out to Blakeney Point to see the grey seal colony, and the Norfolk Broads is also a must-do activity where you can hire a day boat, take a picnic and explore the famous inland waterways.
Norwich is also a fascinating destination for a day trip; walk down medieval streets, visit the 1000 year old cathedral, take in a show at the Theatre Royal, great for shopping and try one of the many great restaurants.
