The apartment is in a small block of eight apartments and is on the second floor. It is very well located to enjoy all the amenites that Kalkan has to offer. The village centre is a fairly level walk of less than ten minutes. The nearest supermarket and restaurants are a short walk from the apartment so car hire / taxis are not necessary.

The apartment is a generously proportioned and very comfortable. It has a spacious lounge diner and seperate kitchen. It also has 2 bathrooms making it ideal for two couples as well as families. There are 3 balaconies from which you can enjoy the fantastic sea and mountain views of the surrounding area. There is an L shaped pool in which to enjoy a relaxing dip, the pool is shared with the other apartments but rarely gets busy.

ACCOMODATION DETAILS
Bedroom 1 - Double bed with under bed storage. Plenty of wardrobe space. Air conditioning. Ensuite bathroom consisting of walk in shower, WC, wash basin and shaver point.
Bedroom 2 - Two single beds, wardrobe and drawers. Air conditioning and balcony with views of the hills to the rear of the property.
Family bathroom - Walk in shower, WC, wash basin and shaver point.
Kitchen - Separate kitchen with west facing balcony. Includes Oven and a 4 ring hob, Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine and Dishwasher. There is also a Microwave, Toaster and Kettle together with a full supply of Cutlery, Crockery, Cooking pans, Glasses and an Iron and Ironing Board.
Lounge / diner - Includes Sofa and chairs. The sofa converts to a comfortable small double bed. Dining table and chairs. There is also a TV and Radio/tape/CD player with a small collection of CD's and books. From the lounge there is a further balcony with views out to sea which also overlooks the swimming pool.

Balconies and pool - The 3 balconies allow guests to always have a choice of sun or shade and tables, seats and a parasol are provided. The shared L shaped swimming pool has ample loungers and parasols and is cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. Note that there is no shallow end that enables children to stand in the pool and is approx 1.70m deep.

The prices shown include all bedding and bath towels but not beach/bathing towels. Cleaning of the apartment at the end of the holiday is included, and also a mid holiday clean for stays of 14 nights or longer. Additional cleaning can be arranged if required payable by the guest.

RESORT DETAILS
Kalkan is an old fishing village nestled around the harbour on the Turquoise Coast of Southern Turkey. It provides a relaxed atmosphere and a good base to explore both the historical sites of Lycian Turkey and the beaches and other places of interest in the area. In the evening there is an extensive range of rooftop and harbourside restaurants together with bars, and a variety of fashionable and local craft shops. There are many car hire outlets in Kalkan which is well served by local reliable Dolmus bus services.
Historical places of interest include the ancient sites of Xantos and Myra and the more recently deserted town of Kayakoy, that was featured in the recent novel "Birds Without Wings".
Whilst Kalkan has a small local beach and several waterside Beach Clubs there are spectacular beaches a few miles either side of Kalkan at Kaputas and within the National Park at Patara.
Other places of interest to visit either on an organised trip or under your own steam include the breathtaking Saklikant Gorge, the towns of Kas and Fethiye and local markets.
There is also horseriding on Patara Beach, Canoeing along the Xantos River and Paragliding available to be booked at local agents in Kalkan.

Cleaning of the apartment at the end of the holiday is included in the cost, and also a mid holiday clean for stays of 14 nights or longer. Additional cleaning and laundry can be arranged if required payable by the guest. Changeover days and times are flexible - please enqire.
