Vacation Rental Description
The Olive Grove’ apartment is contained within the beautiful Saneil complex of 15 apartments, which have been built to a very high standard in 2004/5. It has been furnished to an equally high standard to create a feeling of space and light. It is set on a peaceful hillside surrounded by olive groves and offers spectacular views from the balcony, master bedroom, and lounge of Kalamar and Kalkan bays. The apartments are set in landscaped gardens and have the benefit of a stunning 25m freshwater pool. Loungers and umbrellas are provided for guests at the pool side.
The Turquoise Coast/Lycia region.
This is probably the easiest area of Turkey to get excited about. From Marmaris to Antalya the coastline is gorgeous, the weather is reliably excellent and there are lots of things to do and see. The Turquoise Coast at its finest has become the destination of first choice for many first time and repeat visitors to Turkey. Turquoise seas and pine-clad mountains make this one of the most dramatic coastlines in the world. Combine this with a lovely climate and friendly people and you have an unbeatable combination for the perfect holiday.
Kalkan area
Kalkan – a small peaceful resort and fishing village with immense charm, has changed little over the years and offers a taste of traditional Turkish life. The narrow cobbled streets wind down through the village of whitewashed houses, shops, and restaurants until the small harbour is reached.
More sophisticated than the usual resort town, Kalkan appeals to travellers looking for more than a ‘sun and sea’ holiday.
The town itself is full of quality restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops selling hand-made goods. In the evening the local restaurants come alive, and the rooftop terraces provide a perfect setting from which to admire the beautiful scenery.
Kalkan by day is fun. The town centre of Kalkan becomes surprisingly empty during the day as guests set off for daytime activities. Popular activities include beach-going, relaxing at beach clubs or swimming pools, water sports, exploring the ancient lands around Kalkan, and boat and gulet trips. Don't forget to stop by Kalkan's Thursday market for some great bargains. The boat trips are not to be missed, and often turn out to be the highlight of the holiday. Go to the harbour and talk to the boat captains. Some boats to look out for are Sunset 1 and 2, and Moby Dick. Boats leave at 10.30am and arrive back around 5pm.
Many places of natural beauty and historical interest - Lycian Way, Saklikent Gorge, Kekova sunken city, Tlos, Xanthos, Letoon, Pinara, are all within easy reach. The delights of the Xanthos valley are 20 minutes away to the west, and include the 15km of sand at Patara as well as the Lycian ruins scattered between Tios and the coast.
Our apartment is within easy walk of the village, local beaches and beach clubs. It is fully maintained during your holiday with people on hand to welcome you and help you with any problems you might have.
The apartment is situated midway between Kalkan town and Kalamar Bay, along Kalamar Road.
A 10 minute walk takes you into Kalkan town, or for the less active, a taxi can be ordered.

With only 15 apartments on the complex, there is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the freshwater swimming pool, which has a children’s area at one end. Umbrellas and loungers are provided for each apartment.
Guests may use the nearby facilities of the Asfiya hotel with large pool, rooftop restaurant, Turkish bath, gym and sauna and the Yali beach club. Transfer to the beach club is complimentary.
There are six beach clubs in Kalkan three of which are reached by a free boat service leaving the harbour at regular intervals.
Kalkan's streets are narrow and steep, and therefore not suitable for the infirm. Because of its great charm, Kalkan has a growing number of perennial visitors who say that the town is the only destination they would choose to visit repeatedly. There is simply no other town quite like Kalkan along Turkey's Mediterranean coast.
