SARIGERME – This small Gem on the Aegean coast remains a haven. Sarigerme beach (Blue Flag), which extends for almost 7 kilometres, has been designated as a National Park Conservation Area and has fantastic views and a gentle sea breeze most of the summer. Special features are the gardens offering picnic areas nestling under Olive and Oleander trees on the edge of the beach. There are many water sports available for hire. There is a free shuttle bus service which operates from the village to the beach. The island of Babaada, situated right off the coast ,is the place where boats and yachts moor up regularly.

TOURS - there are several tour operators in Sarigerme offering a range of day trips and tours such as Jeep Safari, white water rafting, gulet cruising, boat trips specialising in the 12 Islands Tour, as well as scuba diving and snorkeling, quad bikes, horse riding, Turkish Nights to name but a few!

Travel Options
  • Nearest Airport : Dalaman at 15 kilometers distance;
  • Nearest Town : Sarigerme at 0.3 kilometers distance
  • Travel Info: Sarigerme is the site of the ancient city of Physilis. This city is now buried under the shifting sand. As a result of tourism development carried out before excavations, and the construction of hotels in the region, the history of Physilis is to remain under the sands of Sarigerme. Sarigerme is the name given to the coast near the village of Osmaniye, 850 metres inland from the shore. The name Sarigerme is linked to the Sariçay stream that divides Osmaniye and the coast. The Sariçay was once used as the transportation route for timber that was brought from the forest to the sea. To prevent the timber from escaping into the sea the stream’s outlet into the ocean was closed during times of timber transportation. Thus the name ‘Germe’ ,which means tightening or fencing . Sarigerme village is approximately a 15 minute walk from the Villa – however, it should be noted that this is not for very small children or elderly as the hill road is safe but steep. The main street has many shops, specialising in local products and produce, restaurants and bars. There are 2 ATM machines as well as local shops who will exchange currency for you. There is a local market every Sunday offering a good selection of local produce of Honey, Nuts and Turkish Delight to name but a few. This is a good time to sample the traditional Gozleme, filled with various savoury or sweet fillings of your choice. Not to be missed. I can fully recommend the banana and honey, wow! There is a large selection of tourist information available in the Villa, however, here are some highlights: Excellent location for travel to Dalaman, Fethiye. Gocek, and Dalyan to name but a few. Everything you need for a wonderful relaxing holiday is within easy reach. The Turquoise Coast is without doubt one of the most beautiful areas in which to relax and unwind. From the backdrop of the Taurus mountains the coast has many beautiful beaches, crystal clear turquoise seas, stunning scenery and numerous places of historical interest. DALYAN and Iztuzu Beach - Take a riverboat tour on the Dalyan Delta River to Iztuzu Beach or into Koyzegi Lake where you can visit the mud baths or just relax. Iztuzu beach has 5kms of crescent shaped totally unspoilt beach to swim, walk or play. Motor boats are not allowed past this area, which is protected, because the giant loggerheads breed between May and August, and it is possible to go on early morning viewing trips to the beach to feed the turtles. GOCEK - International yachting harbour offering a varied choice of sophisticated bars and restaurants. FETHIYA – Has the largest market in the region and takes place on Tuesdays. The fascinating section of the old town area features the Old Bazaar shopping centre. There is also a large harbour which caters for daily boat trips including regular ferries across to Rhodes. A good choice of restaurants are available and a must is a visit to the Fish Market where you can purchase your choice of fish and take it to one of the restaurants in the square where they will cook it for you to your taste.

Have had a wonderful 10 days. Fantastic villa, location, village and beach. Everything has been thought of and we were not wanting for anything. Only regret is that we should have booked 2 weeks! Will be back with the kids to learn more wind surfing etc at the beach. The Maher family, London - August 09

First class accommodation and pool. As well as enjoying the magnificant views and lazing by the pool, we managed to drag our-selves away on a number of trips, the notable ones being
- boat trip from Fethiye on "Mirage" top class lunch on board and great swimming from the boat.
- Ephesus, the 3 hour drive was worth it!
- Katranci, 12 ks east of Gocek - beautiful small bay with beach restaurant and bar.
- to experience real rural living and turkish villages drive west towards Dalyan.
- Sunday market in Sarigerme is worth a visit especially to enjoy a stuffed "gozleme" and cai prepared by the local women at the market. We shall be recommending this holiday to our family and friends.

This villa has an exclusive feel about it. plenty of space to relax, with balconies, pool area and garden with interesting planting. Finished to a high standard and evidently well maintained by the owner. Spoilt for choice, either walking in the unspoilt natural beauty of the immediate hills which has an abundance of wildlife or the beach for some sun and surf (excellent snorkeling) or want a bit of village life. You really can't go wrong. Enjoyed our stay immensely, excellent air conditioned villa with all the home comforts you could want. Unspoilt village, natural vistas and not over developed!!!
