Local Area Calis is a lovely holiday resort, with a mainly pedestrianised promenade with imited traffic access and a seemingly endless beach which is lined with bars restaurants and shops. The resort is very flat, so is ideal for people with mobility restrictions. Back from the seafront lies a patchwork of tracks and paved roads with further hotels, apartments and holiday homes interspersed with agricultural plots. Overall, the resort has a low-key, laid-back atmosphere and is best suited suited for families and couples. There are a couple of Night clubs in Calis but nearby Fethiye town has a greater selection of night life. Parts of the beach are popular with the local turtle population, who come to lay their eggs in the sand. Calis also boasts two very natural attractions a cooling breeze, perfect for when the temperatures soar in the summer months and you can see what the other one is Calis is famous for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

Eating out: There is an ample choice of restaurants, cafes and snack bars in Calis mostly along the front of the promenade offering local food, Chinese, Italian and English food.

local excursions: Boat trips to nearby islands, fishing trips, Dalyan turtle beach, Pamukkale, Saklikent Tlos Gorge, various jeep safari, Marmaris, Olu Deniz and day trips to Rhodes.

Public transport: Frequent dolmus (minibus this passes the front of the complex in high season, the bus station is a five minute walk from complex) A taxi-boat service runs from Calis to Fethiye half-hourly during summer season.
