Sleeping 6 this fully air conditioned villa with its private pool is an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of life. Set in the small village of Gokbel in the foothills outside Dalyan with stunning views across the valley to the lake, beach, sea and a backdrop of mountains - the real WOW factor in an oasis of peace and relaxation.

The conversion of Cicek Evi was finished in 2007. We have tried to keep the villa as Turkish as possible even the furniture has been locally crafted. This is our home it has not been built as a commercial venture.

The double bedrooms open out onto a large balcony that runs across the width of the villa and gives gated access to the swimming pool.

The downstairs is one large open plan area with a spacious kitchen, dining table for 8 people and two sitting areas a stone fire place for a cosy autumn evening. French doors open out onto the S/W facing veranda which mirrors the balcony. To sit, drink in hand and watch the sunset hmmm.

Outside there is a barbecue, separate covered seating area, sun lounges, an outside shower and a terraced garden with a wide selection of fruit trees including white mulberries, pomegranates, lemons, oranges and grapes.

Only 8 minutes to the beach but being slightly higher you have the advantage of a light breeze which can be really welcome in the hot months of July and August. Another guest wrote "we were so happy to be in Cicek with that lovely mountain breeze and just dip in to Dalyan for the necessaries".

Exceptionally quiet, the tinkle of sheep bells or in the distance a tractor working, that is Gokbel. We see tortoises lumbering up the track and a wide selection of wild flowers especially in the spring.

A few minutes drive down the road there are some good restaurants, pancakes, and a local shop for the essentials. Dalyan 12 minutes drive offers you a wide range of shops, restaurants catering for all tastes, tea gardens, and bars. We love sitting by the river with a cool beer (efes) with the Lycian tombs in the background, so relaxing.

From Dalyan there is a wide selection of activities that can be arranged. There are boat trips up the lake and down the lovely Dalyan river to the beach. We quite often hire a boat for the day and they will cook you a BBQ on board. Have a swim in the warm fresh water lake, your lunch, a snooze and then call in at the mud baths and springs on your way home - a very relaxing day or take a boat to the local market. Visit the Roman ruins of Caunos or hire a Gulet and see the 12 islands. The week just goes by too quickly.

A 10% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking. The balance is payable in full 6 weeks before departure.

Cancellation.
In the event of a cancellation for whatever reason the following charges will apply.

In excess of 8 weeks prior to rental date - the deposit.

Between 8 and 3 weeks prior to rental - 50% of total rental costs.

Less than 3 weeks prior to the rental date - the full rental costs
