Altinkum is a friendly resort and you will find the locals 'laid back' and relaxed in their attitude towards tourists. You will get to know them quickly and they will enjoy nothing better than chatting over a glass of Turkey's famous apple tea. You can also take a boat trip to Bodrum for shoping and site seeing from the harbour in Altinkum.
The Saturday market in Didim is a great place to visit for the local culture produce and bargains. The Temple of Apollo is a few kms away in Didyma.
Altinkum has three good beaches.There are also plenty of shops, discos, restaurants and an aqua park can be reached by free bus,Boat trips from the harbour can also be taken to various places across the aegean sea including Greek islands.
