Apartment "Alcara" is a short stroll to the locally known "3rd Beach" and Turkey's newly built and largest marinaD-Marin(Didum Marina)offering excellent facilities for all concerned. The Bodrum peninsula renders this area calm and therefore safe for swimming; one can wade out far and still be waist deep in water, thus making it a joy for non-swimmers and children alike.  
The large town of Didum and its lovely resort of Altikum, spoils the holiday maker for choice of shops, restaurants and hotels. Full amenities such as banks, post office, laundry, hair dressers, chemists, ATMs, Internet cafes, hospital, dentists and Turkish baths etc. can all be found hear. Altikum's lovely promanade, beach and marina is where you can book short or long trips out to the glorious Aegean Sea and many excursions far and near. 
 
Historical buffs need not venture far to see one of Turkey's wonderous sights - The Apollo Temple at Didum. You need not hire a car to see Turkey as there is a vast network of coaches and dormabuses from which you can access much of Turkey at attractive prices.

Available throughout the year, apartment "Alcara" is on the first floor to the rear of a detached block containing 4 other private apartments. It has 2 bedrooms, one has twin beds the other has a single bed. The open plan kitchen/lounge has a kingsize sofabed. A secured safe deposit box is hidden within the apartment. The TV is for viewing DVDs only of which there are a selection to choose from or you can bring your own (the player is multi-regional). There is a wet-room which contains shower, toilet, wash-basin and electric shaver point but no bath. The cooker is fired by bottle gas. There is an L-shape balcony which has limited sea views and can be accessed from either the lounge or larger bedroom. All rooms are fully air-conditioned. The apartment is cleaned and provided with fresh linen between lets. Adjacent to a hotel, guests of Alcara have free use of their adults and kiddies swimming pools and bar.

A newly fully constructed marina (Marina-Didum)is reputed to be the second largest in Europe and now the largest in Turkey opened in May 2009.

Rental charges are for the apartment NOT per person which includes, water, electricity and gas. Consecutive bookings of three weeks or more will be entitled to a discount of 25% during low season. Please note that a compalsury booking form will be sent to the principal party member by post and should be returned in its entity with a 50% non-refundable deposit and the balance paid two weeks prior to departure date. We regret that at present we cannot accept credit card bookings.
