Huge amount to see and do within an hour of the chalet all year round including wonderful towns and cities such as Gstaad, Gruyere, Bern, Vevey, the Swiss Riviere along the beautiful Lac Leman/Lake Geneva coastline and many more along with every outside sport and activity imaginable. Winter and Summer offer a wealth of activities and Spring and Autumn offer beautiful walks amongst stunning natural scenery.  
 
The area of Villars-Barboleuse is a chic, traditional Swiss resort, with year-round activities and attractions for tourists and residents. Villars, Barboleuse and Gryon are three linked, unspoilt Swiss villages located high in the tranquil Alpes Vaudoise, enjoying a south aspect, ensuring long sunny days and superb views of the Dents du Midi range and Mont Blanc. There are no concrete high rises, bleak purpose-built resort accommodation or the catered chalet package holiday crowd. Instead, just authentic chalets eclectically arranged on the hillsides, and friendly affordable restaurants with a warm, mountain-style welcome. Families are well catered for in the area, with plenty of restaurants and cafes, as well as bars and a nightclub in Villars for couples and groups. In the summer the stunning mountain scenery offers a wealth of activities. In the winter the pistes cater for skiers of all abilities, and Villars-Barboleuse offers plenty of activities for the non-skier.

There is a large garden with a terrace - wonderful in the winter for building snowmen and having snowball battles and in the summer for enjoying the stone BBQ and dining under the stars.

Rates: Unlike some other rental properties, rental rate is inc. of all bed linen, bathroom towels, tea towels, electricity, heating, pre/post stay cleaning & laundry (additional mid-stay cleaning can be arranged if required), local agent liaison, key handover & collection, firewood. Changeover day is Saturday except Christmas / New Year 2009 & 2010 which is Sunday to Sunday. The Chalet is self-catering. Sorry, no pets. Strictly no smoking inside the chalet or within the grounds. Chalet comfortably accommodates 8 people/ children with no one on sofa-beds, fold-up beds or on mezzanine landings.
