Vacation Rental Description

Spaciously planned apartment with sleeping accomodation for up to 6 people. The apartment faces away from road with magnificent views over Pointe du Prefet, Dent Blanche and the Matterhorn; it consists of a large living room which gives onto a terrace, a main bedroom with double bed, a second bedroom with bunk beds, hall, separate kitchen and bathroom. The block where the apartment is also houses a sauna, a swimming pool, a laundry room and a reserved parking space and locker for skis. It is very centrally located in Les Collons near shops, bars and restaurants and less than 150 yards from the lifts and pistes. This is also a good set off point for walks in the summer months.

There are several golf courses within driving distance of the apartment, the nearest being in Sion 20 km away, the best known being the Severiano Ballesteros championship course in Crans-Montana. Lakes for open air swimming are available for use in summer just outside Sion. The nearest best free open air swimming is in Lake Geneva at St Gingolph or Villeneuve. There are also thermal baths available in the vicinity of Les Collons, such as at Ovronnaz or Leukerbad.

Ski and summer apartment

The apartment was bought on behalf of the owner's family mainly because of all the skiing options but also in summer just for quiet, alpine walks and open air lake swimming (albeit half an hour away).This property was the preferred choice mainly because of its view out, its excellent position near the lifts, the variety of the local ski slopes which are all sunny at the various times of the day, and the extremely long skiing season here, which goes from November (weekends only)to the middle or end of April.
