Vacation Rental Description

The apartment is located in "Schwanden bei Brienz", a picturesque village with many small houses in the typical style of the Bernese Oberland. The village is situated above the lake of Brienz, to which you can walk in 10 minutes on foot and it is surrounded by forests for long walks and high mountains, which you can reach for example with the "Brienz Rothornbahn".

The apartment is in the front of a semi-detached house with south views to the mountains. The house is located on the village square of Schwanden, about 30 meters from the bus / bus stop.

The apartment is located in a 1864 built in typical local style wooden house in the Bernese Oberland. The facade is a listed building and is adorned with a 90-year vines. The apartment offers 2 floors with space for up to 7 persons, in a cozy living room with lots of wood, furnished with a sofa corner, coffee table and chair. On the shelves there is a lot of reading material, and you can enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains.
One of the two beautiful bedrooms has 2 single beds, offering plenty of storage space in the linen closet and is furnished with a rustic desk.
The other bedroom offers up to 5 beds in a double bed and 3 single beds, with wonderful south views over the mountains. On request a baby-child travel bed is available.
The kitchen is equipped with a buffet of grandma's time and have one dining area, dishes and laundry are sufficiently available.
The bathroom has a shower and a heated shower-toilet.
In addition, belongs to this beautiful apartment a "Vorlaube" (you can see it on the photos, it is a room outside with beautiful windows) from grandmother's time, with dining, for example to have there breakfast and you can look in the mountains ...

From the apartment there are only 10 minutes by foot to Lake Brienz. A village shop and bus stop is 30 meters.
Next, the apartment offers a large garden and many excursions and activities throughout the year ...
In the winter, is approximately a 15 minute drive to the ski Axalp or in about 20 minutes to Hasliberg skiing, snowboarding, etc..
It also has cross-country skiing and winter walking.
In the ski resort of Grindelwald it takes about 1 hour, then it also has a long toboggan run in the Isenfluh.
Everything is easily accessible by bus, the bus stop is 30 meters from the house.
In the Spring / Summer / Fall: To Brienz Rothorn the trail starts next to the house, from Hasliberg can be very nice to walk with children "Muggestutz" on the Dwarf...
Everywhere are hiking up to 2000 meters ...
Also worth seeing are the "Ballenberg" (about 3 minutes by car or 5 minutes by bus to reach) and many more in Meiringen, the Aare.
