The Ockelbo area is famous for being able to offer all of what Sweden is about - nature/cities, mountains/sea, traditional/modern, tranquility/adventure. 
 
We can help you experience exactly what you fancy. For example in the summer: canoing/rafting, lake swimming, fishing in excellent fishing waters for pike and perch, forest walking, fungus/berry picking, elk/bear safaris, hunting, Icelandic horse rides, cycling and so much more. In the winter: skiing, dog sledging, snow mobile rides, ice fishing, ice hockey, bandy, sauna/hot tub in the wild and so much more. 
 
The cottages are designed for all year round occupancy to cope with all of Swedens 4 seasons. They are modern according to Swedish standard and therefore have everything you might expect home from home.  
 
There are also opportunities to borrow books, DVDs, videos and games for both children and adults.  
 
All around are pine forests, rivers and lakes. Elks and deer are therefore a common sight.  
 
Staying with us is the best way to listen to the sounds of nature and thinking that the world is an amazing and beautiful place, after all.

There is a collection of English speaking videos and DVDs, as well as toys, games and books provided for both children and adults, and you can borrow more from our library. If you let us know the age groups coming, we can provide a suitable selection. Outside, there is ample space to play. The large village green is great for the odd game of football or superb playing area for kids whilst the adults sit and watch from the garden. The owners are British/Swedish and are always happy to help you with suggestions to enrich your visit or to leave you in peace. Whatever you choose to do whilst here, whether it is your first visit to Sweden or a returning one, we hope to make your stay with us special to you, and that you will return home with the happiest of memories.
