NEW FOR 2008 - Open Canoe available for guests use!
The Cottage was built in 2001 in typical Swedish Falun red and white style. It is in a small hamlet of 15 privately owned cottages spread out along the lake shore amongst the trees. Quiet and peaceful, this comfortable home from home is close to many beautiful, interesting and exciting attractions and activities.
As with everything in Sweden, environmental considerations were paramount in the construction of the cottage. It has its own well, providing clean pumped drinking water all year round for the shower, flush toliet and modern kitchen.
Being only 30 metres away from Stor Sjo Lake and swimming, drainage is provided by the modern version of a reed bed ensuring no polution enters either the lake or the water table.
The raised sundeck wraps around two sides of the cottage, which with garden furniture & BBQ is perfect for dining al-fresco. Should the sun get too strong, simply wind down the awning or cool off with a dip in the lake.
