This lake is known locally as the 'Blue Lake' as its colours change daily from turquoise green to emerald blue. You can experience the real Spain, yet you are only minutes from local towns - both English and Spanish. You can choose to immerse yourself in Spanish culture, with their fabulous fiestas and laid back lifestyle or dine at the many fabulous English/Spanish restaurants nearby and even pick up an English newspaper if you so desire! 
 
The Villa's facilities are unequalled. Not only does it have its own private infinity pool with fabulous heated jacuzzi, but an amazing outdoor kitchen with pizza oven,rotisserie and BBQ area. There is also a private tennis court, putting green (clubs and balls provided)and a giant chess board. Canoes, bicycles, quad bikes and fishing gear are also provided with the Villa to ensure that you have a fantastic holiday. Last but not least, the area is fantastic for walking. The Villa is also suitable as a wedding venue, and all licences and requirements can be discussed with a local wedding co-ordinator. Interior: Recently completed, its interior is calm and sophisticated but simply decorated with quality finishes. It has a fabulous open plan kitchen and dining room with panoramic views overlooking the lake. All bedrooms are ensuite with modern bathrooms and stylish accessories. Fantastic views from all rooms with wrap around balconies. There are many blue flag beaches, award winning golf courses and idyllic countryside. The nearby Casa La Pedrera, that was featured on Channel 4´s GRAND DESIGNS ABROAD offers quad biking, horse riding, mountain biking and guided tours around the lake.  
The town of Orihuela is rich in local history with many fabulous churches, Roman ruins and quiet cobbled streets to meander through. The cave houses in the local town of San Miguel are interesting - in fact one has been converted into a fabulous restaurant. You can still eat a 3 course meal, the famous 'menu del dia', in many of the local eateries for approx 8 euros. Fantastic Value!! 
The area is rich with local culture and history but at the same time offers all the night life of the Cabo Roig strip on the Orihuela Costa, and the nearby Villa Martin. You decide what holiday you want. Peace and tranquillity, viabrant city bustle or a mixture of the two. The choice is yours!
