Casa Jessica is a simple attractive villa in traditional pueblo style near sea and sandy beaches on a quiet cul de sac set among pines and bougainvillea. 100 meters to large swimming pool-with protected shallow area for small children-and all-weather tennis court. Shops, restaurants, bars: five minutes walk. Breakfast looking down to the Mediterranean with sun for the rest of the day in the front garden or on the dining terrace. The two bedrooms look down over red roofs to the sea: with good built-in wardrobes, one has a double bed and one two singles. The spacious sitting room has high wooden beams under the lofty ceiling. It is comfortably furnished and has TV and video. The well-equipped American kitchen has a gas cooker and oven, fridge-freezer, microwave/grill and coffee-machine and a washing machine. There are good indoor and outdoor dining facilities. The bathroom has a full bath and shower. Perfect for a family holiday.

Moraira is the jewel in the crown of the Costa Blanca, the coast that stretches from Valencia to Alicante on the Mediterranean coast. Alicante and Valencia airports are about one hour's drive. (SEE BELOW HOW TO BOOK) Blissfully free of high-rise blocks, Moraira is a small but lively resort based on a traditional fishing village with its own marina, fishing port and with many good restaurants and bars. The colourful Friday market is always worth a visit. In the summer, local artists and artisans sell their handicraft from stalls around the town's central square. A great place to wine, dine and stroll.. Villa Casa Jessica is set in a pretty community with landscaped gardens. Our villa is at the end of a row of 8 pueblo-style houses with no through-traffic with views through the pines down to the blue Mediterranean. Walk five minutes along roads lined with bougainvillea and oleander to shops, bars, cafés and restaurants: 12 minutes takes you to the sea and cliffs of Cap Blanc.

Notes: From a dining porch, you enter a spacious living room with a dining area by the window to your left (tiled dining table and comfortable dining chairs (next to the well-equipped American kitchen. This leads to the sitting area - two deep blue sofas by the open fireplace - and a TV and video. Exposed wooden beams support the high, sloping ceilings to give a wonderful sense of space. To your left is the bathroom. Behind the living space are the two bedrooms with a sea view, one with a terrace which is perfect for breakfast in the morning sun.

Safe for children: There is no through traffic anyway on the little lanes, filled with colourful, Mediterranean blooms that take you down the shared pool 100 meters away. Again, perfect for small children with a separate, shallow toddlers pool. A tennis court is freely available. Just bring your own rackets and balls.

You can just read in the sun with a good book from our bookshelves in Casa Jessica. Or: enjoy golf, tennis, football, squash, all water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding and even go kart racing, though not in sound range of Casa Jessica. Children will love Terra Mitica (Spain’s answer to Disneyland) and Aqualandia Water Park 45 minutes away.

Excursions: A short drive - wonderful scenery - old villages: A 10 minute drive over the hills behind Moraira with amazing views down to the coast takes you into the Spanish interior with its Roman terracing, olive and almond trees, vineyards and orange groves. Take a trip over the Cumbre del Sol (15 minutes away) for spectacular wild country and coastal views and visit Altea (30 mins), a superb hilltop town with its lovely blue-domed church and central square for some very tasteful local artisan handicrafts. A one-hour drive takes you up to the magnificent mountain-top fort at Guadalest, to the Vergal Safari Park near Denia or to Europe's largest palm forest at Elche.

We trust our guests and charge no deposit. We ask for an upfront payment of 150 Euros to book. The balance is due a month before your arrival.

We charge low rates because we want you and others to enjoy an affordable holiday. We have broken our rates down into the rental rates you see on the right and local costs that are transparent. If you want a long stay, we are ready to negotiate on our rates and terms.

To make our rates transparent, we charge separately for the costs over and above our normal maintenance costs that arise when you stay. These are payable only on arrival in Moraira where you will be met at the house by our local rep.
Here is a breakdown:
House Cleaning - 65 Euro.
Electricity and water - 5 Euro per day (8 Euro in the winter when central heating is available)
Optional (on re3quest)Laundry for sheets and towels: 13 Euro per head. You are welcome to avoid laundry costs by bringing your own if convenient.
