House has two bedrooms (one double with wc cubicle and vanity unit with whb, the other a twin-bedded room also with vanity unit complete with whb). Both vanity units are illuminated and have hot/cold running water. Lounge, Kitchen/Dining, Bathroom with bath and shower. Front Terrace which attracts the sun from mid-afternoon until sunset – perfect for “sundowners” and evening dining.

Situated in quiet lane behind the European Shopping Centre, the terrace overlooks the roofs of the shops and has lovely views towards the mountains. The area is called Paichi and there are a few small shops, restaurants and a few bars which sell pub grub during the day. There is a large Supermarket, Mas Y Mas, which is 2 minutes round the corner and is open from 9 am until 9 pm 6 days per week and half day Sunday. The centre of the village, harbour, marina and beach are approximately 1 mile away on a flat road. The village has an assortment of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. There are no high-rise hotels or large commercial apartment blocks in Moraira and the vast majority of the houses and villas are privately owned.

There are many places of interest in the area – Guadalest, Calpe, Altea, Javea and, further afield, Benidorm, all within an easy drive. The inland area is mostly agricultural land and has rugged scenery with orange, lemon and almond groves, small bodegas and some excellent restaurants. The whole area is well worth exploring, some of the mountain passes, however, are not for the faint-hearted. Alicante airport is about 80 kms away either on a toll or secondary road.

The house is fully equipped for 4 people having tv with Astra freeview box giving various channels in different languages, DVD player and a selection of movies, music centre etc. The kitchen has a washing machine, micro-wave, electric kettle, toaster, iron etc. There are ample supplies of linen and towels although you may wish to take beach towels. Hot water is by gas combi boiler which ensures constant hot water for showers etc. The two bedrooms are fitted with ceiling fans for use in the hot summer months when it is also advisable to keep the windows closed against the mosquitoes. There is an aircon/heating unit plus 3 portable gas stoves and a wood-burning stove in the Lounge.

Rental costs for the house vary from GBP 175 per week from November through until end March, GBP 210 for April/May/June/October, and GBP 230 per week during July, August and September. This is all inclusive and covers gas and electricity although there is an extra charge for electricity in the winter months. Although Moraira is generally a tranquil resort, July and August are lively months with bars opening later at night to provide entertainment for the visitors and a street market in the village which goes on until about midnight. Lots of Europeans and Scandinavians own property in Moraira and they use the summer months for their vacations.
