Vacation Rental Description
Villa Jazmin is an ideal base for a family or a group looking for a relaxing or activity holiday. The villa is located within a small community, 9 kilometres from Lliria, in the foothills of 'La Concordia' - excellent for walking, horse-riding, or mountain-biking - and with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The villa is just 35 minutes drive from Valencia airport, or a little over 2 hours from Alicante.The property comprises 3 double bedrooms each with aircon, fans, and iPod Speaker Docks, 2 bathrooms, a large lounge/diner, with TV & Entertainment Centre, and a fitted kitchen. The villa is set in grounds which contain terraced gardens with fruit trees, an 8m x 3.8m swimming pool (retiled in 2008), a secluded rear terrace, a huge front balcony with fabulous views, and shaded seating areas.
The Villa is located in a small community called Cabezo Roïg, which nestles in the foothills of the "La Concordia" Mountain park, approximately 9 Kilometres north of Lliria, in the province of Valencia. A car is essential, since the nearest public transport is in Lliria.
Facilities
The three bedrooms and lounge all have both ceiling fans and air-conditioners which double up as heaters in winter. The lounge also has a wood-burning stove for the winter months. We have a large library of Family films, as well as a Nintendo Gamecube, and Sky TV. The lounge contains a double sofa and two armchairs - when seating more than four, there are outdoor armchairs on the balcony that can be brought inside. If the weather is not warm or dry enough to eat outside on the Balcony, there is a fold-down table and chairs that can be used indoors. As well as the fully fitted kitchen, there is also a Paellero (outdoor kitchen), which contains a wood stove, a washing machine, and a second fridge (handy for those extra cold drinks). There is a large gas-fired BBQ on the front Balcony.
Activities
There are some great hiking trails in the hills near the house. The area has three championship Golf courses within a 20-30 minute drive. There are stables that hire horses, on the outskirts of Llira. The village of Chulilla, around 20 minutes drive away, is renowned for Rock Climbing, and the pretty towns and villages of the Turia Valley are great to explore.
Valencia City has a wealth of attractions, including the Bioparc - a modern Animal Park, considered to be one of the best in Spain - and the "City of Science and Arts", with incredible modern architecture, and containing a Science Museum, an Opera House, an IMAX cinema, and Europe's largest Oceanographic complex, with 7 aquaria containing Marine life from all over the world.
If historic architecture is more your thing, then don't miss the Cathedral, the Basilica, and the City Towers.
Finally, Spain's most famous fiesta, Las Fallas, takes place here every March.

We bought the property because of the panoramic views from the front terrace, and it's location on the edge of a Protected Mountain area. Also because it's in an area that few Brits have discovered yet, and is still quite typically Spanish!The Turia valley has plenty of interesting towns and villages to explore, and the roads over the mountains to Segorbe have spectacular views. Valencia is home the the world-famous "Las Fallas" fiesta, while the nearby town of Buñol hosts "La Tomatina" fiesta each year - renowned as the world's biggest food-fight, involving several truckloads of over-ripe tomatoes!
In short, if you're the sort of person who thinks of themselves as a Traveller rather than a Tourist, then you'll find this area much more interesting than the resorts along the coast!

- Nearest Train Station : Lliria (Metro) at 12 kilometers distance
- Nearest Town : Lliria at 10 kilometers distance
- Travel Info: The Villa is easily accessible from Valencia Airport (35 mins drive). Other possibilities are Alicante Airport (2.5 hours), Barcelona Airport (3.6 hours), or Murcia Airport (3.25 hours). Although the villa is in a very rural community, only the last 0.25Km of road is unpaved.

We require a 20% deposit, with the balance payable 8 weeks before arrival. All payments must be made using a Credit or Debit card, using an Online Payment facility. Security Deposit: Renters can choose to pay either: - a 350 Euro refundable Security Deposit with the final balance, or - a non-refundable 30 Euro Damage Waiver fee. There is also a 12 Euro booking fee (charged by our Payment provider). Cancellation fees increase, the closer to the arrival date you cancel: Up to 8 weeks before arrival: Deposit only 8-6 weeks: Deposit + 20% of balance 6-4 weeks: Deposit + 40% 4-2 weeks: Deposit + 60% 2-1 weeks: Deposit + 80% Less than one week before arrival: Deposit + 100%

Private Owners - we're *not* in it for the money!
Our Villa was bought as somewhere for us to eventually retire to, and to enjoy holidays in the meantime. We've furnished it to a high standard, and regularly spend time there ourselves. Renting the Villa out helps to pay the bills, rather than being a source of income for us.
The local town of Lliria, while not the most inspiring town, is typically Spanish, with some nice restaurants, and the area acts as a great base for exploring both Valencia City (3rd largest city in Spain), and the Turia Valley, with its hillside villages, Roman aqueducts, reservoirs, and scenic views. This is *not* the location for a Beach holiday, but if you do fancy a day at the beach, there are quiet pleasant beaches less than 40 minutes drive away.
