Vacation Rental Description

This magnificent cave house is in the village of La Canalosa, half an hour by car from Alicante airport and the coast.

The villages of Hondon de las Nieves and Hondon de los Frailes are 10 minutes away. Nestled in a small valley in the Hondon area of the Costa Blanca, the backdrop is the magnificent Crevillente mountains, 837 metres high and covered with pine trees. The rural landscape consists of Olive and Almond trees, vineyards and orange groves. The area is perfect for walking, cycling, mountain biking, motorcycle touring or just relaxing. A magnificent property in a mountain location but still just 30 minutes by car from the coast and airport.

The cave property is situated in a pretty courtyard surrounded by landscaped gardens with numerous variety of cacti and trees including fig, banana, almond and olive. The pool area is to the rear of the property accessed via a pathway and steps and has stunning mountain views.

The property consists of

Four bedrooms:-
Two double and two single - sleeping a maximum of six people.

A large bathroom with shower, basin, bidet and toilet.

The lounge/dining room has been furnished to a high standard with seating and dining facilities for 6 people. Off the lounge is a snug area with log burning stove and a disused bread oven.

The full kitchen includes gas cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and both fitted and freestanding units.

There is satellite television providing English channels, a DVD player, numerous board games, books and a games room with dartboard.

Outdoors there is a swimming pool (10 x 5 metres) which is fully enclosed with gated access for exclusive use by guests and occasional use by the property owners. There are plenty of outdoor terraces, sunbeds, tables and chairs and a large BBQ.

The owners live in an adjacent property and can be available to provide a welcome BBQ and farewell Paella night by request (additional charge).

Air con is not required in cave houses as they remain a constant 18 degrees, cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The private pool is at the back of the property and has a shady pergola, sunbeds and a table and chairs. It is fully enclosed by a metre high wall and has a lockable gate. The heating, if needed for winter months, is a log burning stove (logs charged extra) Linen and towels provided (with the exception of pool towels) and changed on a weekly basis

Hondon de las Nieves & Hondon de los Frailles
Equal distances 10 minutes by car. Restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets, butchers, markets, bodegas, banks.

Aspe and Elche are within 15 minutes by car with their extensive facilities including tenpin bowling, shopping centres and cinemas.

Rental Rates

				Low Season Price:	£395 per Week
				High Season Price:	£595 per Week

January - April £395 / week May - June £425 / week July £495 / week August £595 / week September - October £425 / week November - December £395 / week • Rental periods are from Saturday to Saturday, although some flexibility can be applied if required. Arrival from 3 pm and departure by 11 am, unless by prior agreement. • Rates quoted are for a maximum of 6 guests. A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance, together with a refundable £150 security and damage deposit, is payable 8 weeks prior to occupation.
