Notes on accommodation The apartment is fitted with a large air conditioning unit which services all rooms very adequately, keeping them cool in the summer and provides the heating in the cooler months. All rooms have separate fans also. Heating is provided for winter. The roof top garden is reached by a wrought iron spiral staircase outside the kitchen, child stair gates are provided and can be easily fitted. Other facilities included for children are travel cot, toys and sterilizer. Amenities/Facilities provided oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, iron/ironing board, satellite TV, TV, air conditioning, room fans, cot, barbecue, shared pool Outside The urbanization of Altomar II is extremely well maintained. The three communal swimming pool complexes available for use are open from 10am to 10pm. The children's play area provides swings, slides and climbing frames. There is street parking available with a designated parking area at the end of the road.

Alicante airport is a ten minute drive from the apartment, taxi hire is approx. 20 euros. Murcia airport is one hours drive away. To explore and fully appreciate the locations car hire is recommended although definitely not essential as a good local bus service is provided to most resorts. Alicante town is 20 minutes, Elche is 15 minutes, Santa Pola is 10 minutes and Guardamar is 25 minutes, all by car.
Gran Alacant is very well served with large supermarkets and a British supermarket at the end of the street. There is a diverse selection of restaurants such as Spanish, British, Indian, Chinese, Steak houses, pizza houses all offering good priced meals with some providing take aways. Bars and British style pubs, wine merchants and banks can all be found within a five minute walk. A shoe shop, DIY and home stores are all close by. There is a local market on Thursday in Gran Alacant.
