Rustic self catering apartment above British owned finca (farmhouse) located high in the Jalon Valley. We are situated in the North Costa Blanca region in the province of Alicante just outside the picturesque village of Castell de Castells, an ideal base for exploring the mountain villages, coastal towns, medieval markets & local fiestas.This location is ideal for those who enjoy walking, bird watching, photography, painting, writing or just getting away from it all to enjoy the weather. We live by solar power & natural spring water, have 2 very friendly dogs & 2 parrots & are on hand for any help or advice.  
 
The property is 5ks from the village of Castell de Castells where you will experience the charm of real Spain & find several tapas bars, a restaurant, a hotel with spa, a Saturday market, 2 small supermarkets, 2 banks, a tabac & a post office. There is also a swimming pool, tennis courts, walks that include mountains higher than Ben Nevis and prehistoric caves with paintings.The village also boasts a 50 piece brass orchestra who play in the village square during fiesta time (mid August) & on the many other celebratory occasions. From the finca it is about a 20 min drive to the market town of Jalon where there is a fruit & veg market on a Tuesday & a large rastro/flea market on a Saturday morning. There are also several bodegas where you can sample the local wine. The larger, very pleasant coastal towns & beaches of Javea, Moraira, Denia & Calpe are all about a 40 min drive.
