Vacation Rental Description
The apartment is terraced and has all the living accommodation on the ground floor. This consists of an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, 2 bedrooms – a double and a twin both with ceiling fans, built-in wardrobes and safe - and a bathroom with bath, shower hand basin, w.c. and bidet and natural light by way of a skylight on the roof terrace.  
 
Outside the back door there is a small tiled area, which benefits from several hours of sunshine in the middle of the day. From this area the stairs lead up to the large rooftop solarium with sun loungers, table, 4 chairs and an umbrella. This area is perfect for sunbathing all day and has lovely views over the surrounding countryside and mountains. 
 
To the front of the apartment is a landscaped area which is part tiled and part gravelled. There is a table, 4 chairs, an umbrella and a small portable barbeque. From this area you can watch the sun go down, making it perfect for having dinner or a barbeque. It looks out over an area that has been planted with various trees and shrubs, along with benches and a small children’s play area.  
 
There is an enclosed communal pool with a shallow children’s pool area attached which is available May-September. The area, which is landscaped, also has toilets, a water fountain and a covered gazebo area. Entrance is by electronic key fob and the area is less than 2 minutes walk from the apartment. Please note that the pool is closed for the winter months.  
 
The apartment is 2 minutes walk from the village of Sucina, within the region of Murcia, just twelve kilometres from the Mediterranean and Mar Menor seas, of which a large part is virgin and solitary, a place that is renowned for its culture scenery and climate. It is 15 minutes drive from Murcia (San Javier) airport and 50 minutes drive from Alicante airport.  
 
Sucina is a traditional town, far from the hustle of a tourist resort next to a special area designated as a protected area for birds and wildlife. Orchids, rivers, mountains, grapevines, olive groves, arid high plateaus and thermal waters are just a small sample of what this part of Spain has to offer. The village has banks, a post office, garage, tobacconist, pharmacy, 3 mini supermarkets (one of which serves English breakfasts and snacks in a cafe area), a bakery, several bars, a wine bar that serves great tapas and also full meals, an Indian restaurant, Pizzeria, fish and chip shop and an English butchers. 
 
Various golf courses are available, the newest course being 3 minutes drive from the apartment.  
The popular resort of Santiago de la Ribera is 15 minutes drive away and has a long sandy beach area with a tiled promenade and the Royal Yacht Club of the Mar Menor. It is located on the crystal clear Mar Menor which is a mecca for all kinds of watersports, sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, scuba or just swimming.  
 
Though a seaside resort, Santiago de la Ribera has a considerable permanent population and is a favourite of both northern Europeans and Spanish.

    The surrounding area offers places suitable for practising open-air sports, such as mountain biking, trekking, cycling and horseback riding.  
    In a short drive you will reach the Mar Menor, the Europe’s largest salt lagoon, over 170 square kilometres of shallow water and wonderful beaches with exceptional quality sand. Here you will have the opportunity to practise a large variety of water sports such as scuba diving, sailing, windsurfing, etc. In all these beaches there is a great variety of services available.

    Discounts are available for stays of longer than 1 week, please enquire via telephone or email. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment but ashtrays are provided for use on the roof terrace and in the front garden. Please note that the above tariff includes the provision of linen and towels (for use in the apartment only). A cleaning charge is payable locally at a cost of 45 Euros. The apartment will be cleaned prior to your arrival and a welcome pack can be provided if required for 15 Euros (payable locally on arrival). Airport pickup can also be arranged if you do not wish to hire a car. A refundable security deposit of £100 is required to secure your booking, this is refunded on return of the keys. Payment in full is required 6 weeks before departure. Payment is accepted by cheque or direct bank transfer.
