Vacation Rental Description
Attractive modern 4-bedroom house, situated in the El Alamillo residential area of Puerto de Mazarron, with sea views from it's 2 terraces. It is in close proximity to the beach and adjacent Puerto de Mazarron, whilst going in the opposite direction along the coast takes you to Isla Plana and La Azohia. There is a 5 to 10-minute walk to the local beach, adjoining the sandy beach of Puerto de Mazarron, harbour and new marina. The Puerto is within a 20-minute walk or 5-minute drive. It has it's own private pool approx 7mx3m, Jacuzzi, Outdoor Shower and built-in Barbeque. There are 2 terraces, including one to the master bedroom. Both sea and inland views are available from the house. It benefits from Central Heating for the cooler off-season months. The 3 upper bedrooms all have ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes. Travel cot and baby stroller are provided.Meet and Greet Service.
All guests will be greeted personally on arrival at the house and shown round the property, and will be given a Guide to Mazarron. You will have an English speaking contact during your holiday, just in case of any problems. On the day of departure, my representative will be on hand to collect the keys, and to make sure that everything was to your satisfaction.
Fully equipped kitchen with dish-washer, washing machine, microwave, toaster, & cafetierre.
We have provided a couple of UK plug adapters & trailing extension sockets - to make it easier to charge up cameras, mobiles, camcorders etc.
Towels and bed-linen are provided.
Outdoors:
2 dining tables each comfortably seating 6 persons, 8 sun-loungers with cushions.
Private 7m x3m swimming pool, Jacuzzi (up to 6 persons), built-in barbeque., terraced areas for seating in the sun or shade. Please use the shower before using the pool or Jacuzzi to remove sun lotions, as lotions affect the filtration systems.
Food Shopping
Within the Puerto, the El Arbol supermarket can cater for most basic needs, along with the fresh produce covered market, Plaza de Abastos, or the local Sunday market.
You’ll now find 3 new larger supermarkets at the entry to the Puerto from the main road leading from Mazarron.
Puerto de Mazarron, is a year-round fishing port, and has a modern marina, completed in 2008. It’s completion was delayed by the discovery of Roman artefacts. Local dining places offer fresh locally caught fish. It is also well served by shops, and like other local towns is well endowed with shoe shops, as my wife will testify. Markets are plentiful and frequent. There are market-days in Mazarron, together with those in neighbouring Totana and Lorca.
The ancient city of Murcia, straddling the river, has many places of historic interest, coupled with a huge variety of boutiques, shops, restaurants and up-market department stores. It is about a 45 minute drive away.
Cartagena, about a 30-minute drive away, is another historic(dating back to the Romans) town and old naval base. It combines, history and architecture with lovely waterfront promenades, & excellent shopping facilities catering for all tastes and budgets. It has a great number of restaurants, many of which are traditional Spanish, but also cater for all tastes and cuisines.
Spain is rightly renowned for it's agriculture, fruit, leather and shoes.
There are numerous small villages, which one can find and explore, but Totana and Lorca are especially interesting, benefiting from history (dating back to the Romans), local cuisines, shops and markets. A lesser known fact is that Spain still has a thriving traditional children’s industry, and many of these dedicated shops offer a beautiful alternative to the modern trend to dress children as miniature teenagers.

Facilities
Our home comprises a spacious lounge & dining room, fully fitted kitchen, downstairs bathroom with shower, and 4th bedroom (with two single bunk beds and a baby's cot). Upstairs are 3 bedrooms, (one en-suite), with a third bathroom. All upper bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, and ceiling fans. There are two freestanding fans. The lounge is equipped with 4 sofa's (3 & 2 seater x2), and 2 coffee tables, satellite TV (inc free-to-air digital UK & European channels), mini HI-FI, & DVD player. Patio doors to ground-floor terrace, pool, Jacuzzi, shower & barbeque. The dining table may be extended, and in it's normal size easily accommodates 6 persons. The 3 upper bedrooms all have ceiling fans and built-in wardrobes. The master bedroom (with en-suite bathroom), has twin aspects views of the sea and the coast, and it's own terrace, which has a new small wrought iron table and 4 chairs, still leaving room for loungers.
Activities
The area boasts more than 300 days of sunshine per year, and some of the finest beaches in Spain, whilst the untouched nature of the coastline will appeal to those who seek a tranquil environment for their holidays. The Puerto has a wide range of restaurants, tapas bars, evening entertainment bars, and shops. Activities catered for, include: open-air cinema, indooor & outdoor sports facilities such as ten-pin bowling, sports hall, gyms, kart-track, fishing, sailing plus nearby National Parks & natural thermal springs.
Regular free beach concerts (courtesy of the local council), water sports and scuba-diving.
18-hole Golf Course is within 10mins drive, + the new Polaris World course being constructed. Many more courses are within an hour's drive, La Manga etc.
It is a popular resort for Spanish & English holidaymakers particularly in July & August, whilst at other times of the year can be very quiet and relaxing.

Prices shown are for the property per week in UK Pounds. If your stay is not exactly 1 or 2 weeks, prices will be adjusted accordingly. Changeover days are flexible, as are arrival & departure times, to accommodate flight times Bookings can be reserved by phone or email, and then confirmed once the deposit of 10% is received. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival. An additional security deposit of £100 is required together with the balance. This will be refunded within 7 days of departure from the villa, after property has been checked. Accidents easily happen and if so, a like for like replacement would be appreciated. Cancellation up to 12 weeks prior to the start date of the holiday will incur loss of 50% of the deposit. Between 12 weeks and 6 weeks prior, 25% of the full payment due. Cancellation within 6 weeks of the holiday will incur a cost of 50% of the full payment due.
