Vacation Rental Description
The Apartment is south facing to make the most of the Spanish Sunshine but also has air-conditioning for those really hot days in mid summer. Has a large roof terrace plus a balcony so plenty of outside space. The roof terrace is very private. The apartment has three bedrooms all with single beds. Two bathrooms one with walk in shower. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen with a large fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The apartment is in a block with a communal pool, apart from the main pool there is a small pool for young children. The sandy beach nearby is great for children only 5 to 10 minutes walk away with a few beach bars, marina and Tennis Club. There are two supermarkets one with a small bar and internet access.
Facilities
Satellite tv gives you many english channels so you do not need to miss your favourite programmes or the sport.
Activities
The area is a haven for water sports and golf. The apartment is a 10 minute drive to La Manga Strip where their is excellent facilites for hiring and learning all types of watersports. The area is great for diving and has an excellent diving club. La Manga club is only a 10 minute drive with championship golf courses. There are lots more in the area and it would be possible to play a different course every day of your holiday. Mar de Cristal has its own tennis club again with equipment hire and instruction. Watersports also available from Mar de Cristal beach.
The Night Club is on La Manga Club 15 minutes away. Mountain Biking on Nature Reserve 10 minutes away.
All the above are at Mar de Cristal or within a 20 minute drive except the Zoo which is about 50 minutes.

- Travel Info: The airport is a 20 minute drive. You can also fly to Alicante but does just over an hour to reach apartment.

£50.00 deposit required to secure booking non refundable. Balance 6 weeks prior to departure. £150.00 damage deposit refunded in full when apartment left in good order. Cancellation policy 4-8 weeks 50% refund, 2-4 weeks 25% discount, 0-2 weeks no refund. Prior to 6 weeks deposit only. There is not a minimal rental period however there is a minimal rental charge of £120.00. Rentals of 6 days or less are subject to a £50.00 cleaning charge, laundry £10.00 per bed.

Many happy returns to sunshine and relaxation
My husband and I have stayed at this apartment on 3 different seasons, spring, summer and most recently late autumn 2009. It is very well equipped and comfortably furnished, including English TV, and the view from the balcony and roof terrace is fantastic. The surroundings are very peaceful and ideal for watching sunsets, but there are shops and some bars and tennis facilities in walking distance when you want them. The pool is well kept and large enough for a decent swim, and there is plenty of room around it for sitting in the sun. Alternatively, the beach at the Mar Menor is in easy walking distance, with beautiful views across towards La Manga.
There are many places in the area to explore with excellent shops, golf courses, restaurants and beaches. A car would be needed to make the most of these facilities.
The owners are well informed, and their agents keep the apartment in spotless condition, and are also very helpful.

Our perfect holiday in Mar de Cristal
The apartment in Mar de Cristal met all of our holiday needs perfectly: modern and well equipped, close to beautiful beaches and bustling holiday towns and easy to get to from the airport.
Situated in a quiet apartment complex, the large Penthouse is well-kept and offered the comforts we were looking for. We especially enjoyed use of the rooftop terrace, where we would relax after a swim in the pool and have barbecues in the evenings.
The beach is only a short walk away from the apartment and there are various cafés, bars and good restaurants on or near the promenade. Supermarkets and pharmacies are also conveniently closeby.
Another beautiful, more secluded, beach in a nature reserve is only a ten-minute drive away. We spend a lot of time there, but also made trips to the towns of La Manga and Cabo de Palos.
We enjoyed out last visit in Mar de Cristal so much that we are already booked to return this year.

My husband and I love this area of Spain as it is still very Spanish and not build up. We are right on the edge of the village with wonderful views towards nature reserve but still only 10 minutes from the beach and the Italian Restuarant which in our opinion is the best in Mar de Cristal. Watersports and tennis are available without leaving the village and most sports are catered for within a 15 minute drive. Nightlife is available up the La Manga Club 15 minutes drive away. It is a great area for relaxation but within a 20 minute to one hour drive there is lots to see. Great History at Cartagena. This apartment suits us as a family as we love scenery, peace and quiet but need to explore. Many of the family including my husband are into Golf and there is no shortage of golf clubs. We have five sons, and two grandchildren, the youngest family members loves the safe sandy beach. There is a very large file in the apartment which tells you where to find places of interest and lists all the sports with telphone numbers. I am also very happy to receive your calls if you wish to know more about the places of interest or a sport that interests you most. We have been renting for 4 years and have all ready this year three returning clients booked.
