Available for rent a beautifully furnished three bedroom, two bathroom duplex on the first and second floor of a lovely complex in Los Alcazares, on the Costa Calida, Spain.
It has one double bedroom and two twin rooms with the option of the sofa bed in the lounge.
The kitchen is fully equipped including fridge/freezer, oven, hob and washing machine. (There is a portable electric grill that can be used for barbecuing on the terrace).
There is a balcony off the living area, ideal for meals in the heat of the day and also a large roof terrace/solarium.
The property is built round a beautiful communal pool.
The pool is not heated but very pleasant in the warmer months. There is a smaller pool suitable for small children. There are no loungers by the pool but there are foldaway chairs and loungers in the property which can be taken down by the pool during the day.
There are gates all around the edge of the complex.
The local beach is a ten minute flat walk. The beach covers a long distance so you may wish to drive to sample other areas and different restaurants. There are children’s play areas all along the front and a play park just outside the complex.
The banks, supermarket and shops are all less than a five minute walk. There are three restaurants very close by and numerous others between five and twenty minute walks away.
All towels and bed linen are provided but please provide your own swimming towels. The property is cleaned prior to your arrival and on your departure.
As well as the basic contents the property also provides hairdryer, CD radio cassette player (bring your own tapes and CDs), iron and ironing board, mosquito burners (tablets not provided), buckets and spades, balls etc and a selection of books and games.
NON-SMOKERS PREFERRED. NO SMOKING IN THE PROPERTY PLEASE.
If you do smoke, then please use the ashtray provided and smoke outside.
The Costa Calida, or warm coast, is a stretch of coastline offering all the facilities of great bathing, cycling, sight seeing and golf. It covers the area between Aquilas and the Mar Menor. The Mar Menor is 170 kilometre saltwater lagoon divided from the sea by La Manga, a 22 kilometre peninsula. The result is a vast natural swimming pool with temperatures conducive to year round bathing. This area offers a selection of outdoor routes to explore be it on foot, horseback, bicycle or sailing.
In keeping with its name, the weather here is among the best in Spain. The average annual temperature is 10 degrees centigrade, and the average for June, July, August and September is above 21 degrees centigrade. (July/August temperatures are around 30-35 degrees). Winter is very mild with the average temperature of the cold months not falling below 10 degrees centigrade.
Los Alcazares is on the Mar Menor, a piece of the sea almost entirely enclosed by a spit of land known as the La Manga strip. It is on the Costa Calida which is on the south east corner of Spain.
There are two airports available. The first is Alicante, which has flights from most UK airports, and is approximately 55 minutes by car from Los Alcazares.
The other airport is Murcia. This is only about ten minutes from Los Alcazares and has flights from East Midlands, Birmingham, Manchester, Gatwick, Southampton, Stansted.

The famous La Manga Golf Course with approximately 45 holes is only 15 minutes away alongside many other golf courses to choose from in the vicinity. Two within Los Alcazares.
Further along the beach towards the town is the jetty from which you can take a leisurely boat trip to Isla Perdiguera (Sardine Island) where you can snorkel and try the local fish dishes at one of the three restaurants.
Also in Los Alcazares the is a public outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool. There is also a further outdoor pool in nearby Los Narejos.
Further afield there is the Aquapolis water park in Torrevieja, a water park at Quesada or the larger Aqualandia at Benidorm approximately 1 ¾ hours drive. Also at Benidorm is the Mundomar sea life park and the Terra Mitica theme park.
Nearby, the cities of Cartagena and Murcia and the wine cellars in Jumilla are well worth a visit.
