New penthouse apartment with lift and a very large private sun terrace situated in ideal location within the old town of Aguilas close to Plaza Espana. All amenities close to hand. Separate fully equipped kitchen with all modern appliances, comfortable lounge with DVD, Satellite TV and music centre, dining area for four people, two double bedrooms with ample wardrobe and drawer space, large bathroom with bath and shower. On the terrace are loungers, double hammock, table and chairs, sun shade and bar-b-que. If you wish to tour the area during your visit then a car is a goods idea although Aguilas is served by buses both local and long distance and there is a train station so a car is not essential. Many historical centers are nearby e.g. Lorca, Cartagena and the mountains surrounding Aguilas are well worth a visit. There are golf courses including the famous Desert Springs and a water park are about 30mins drive away. Aguilas is still mainly Spanish being very popular for holidays for those living in the cities. It has a reputation for Fiesta most weekends throughout the summer and is famous for the Carnival (in February) and the Santa Semana at Easter. There are outdoor concerts during July and August which is when the Spanish holiday and party. Aguilas does not have Pubs and MacDonald’s but does have a wealth of good restaurants, tapas bars and a beautiful seafront to stroll along as well as shaded Plaza’s to relax in and watch the world go by.
