Vacation Rental Description
Bedrooms: The master bedroom has 2 twin beds with ample cupboard space in the built-in solid wood wardrobes. There is also a Juliet balcony looking out towards the town centre. The second bedroom also has 2 twin beds and also features built-in solid wood wardrobes.
Bathroom: The luxury bathroom is equipped with a free-standing sink/vanity unit as well as a bath with overhead shower, WC and bidet.
Kitchen: The very well equipped kitchen features a cooker, hob and extractor fan. A microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, all crockery and kitchen utensils etc are also provided. There is also a separate small utility area. An airer is located in the utility area along with an iron and ironing board.
Living room: The light, airy living area has leather sofas, TV and DVD and features patio doors opening out onto the spacious balcony. The dining area offers a solid oak dining table plus 4 leather chairs making it ideal for using on cooler evenings.
Cleaning/towels etc: Towels for both the bathroom and outside use are included. The property is cleaned once a week and there is a one off charge of 50 euros payable directly to the cleaner/key holder.
Outside: The apartment has a large dual aspect balcony with views both over the 4th hole and the beautifully landscaped gardens at the side of the property. A table and 4 chairs is provided making it the perfect space for sunning yourself or enjoying a relaxing bottle of the local wine alfresco! The apartment is also located just 200 yards from one of the numerous communal swimming pools with both jacuzzi area and children's pools.
Beaches: There are many fabulous clean, sandy beaches in the area, just a short 10 minute drive from the resort. The beaches along the Mar Menor are very family friendly and being shallow make them especially safe for children.
Golf: In addition to the 18 hole par 68 Nicklaus Design golf course on the resort you will also find a driving range and club house. Booking on La Torre also affords you access to the sister resorts of Mar Menor which includes a 9 hole par 36 course plus luxury spa and El Valle which features an 18 hole par 71 golf course. Residents of La Torre are entitled to discounted green fees on both of these resorts. A free courtesy shuttle bus runs regularly between the 3 resorts.
Airport: The nearest airport is Murcia San Javier which is approximately 15 minutes drive. The airport is served by airlines such as Ryanair from Stansted. There are several car hire companies located at the airport. Alicante is approximately 50-60 minutes drive.
Further Details: Additional facilities on the resort include tennis courts, gym, childrens parks with slides, swings and climbing frames, numerous communal swimming pools with jacuzzi areas. The social club is located in the centre of the resort and offers 2 bars, The Wood House and Pino's Bar - both ideal for light snacks whilst admiring views of the golf course. La Encina is a more formal buffet restaurant located within the Social Club, whilst Trattaria Acacia (Italian) and Limonero (Spanish) overlooks the town centre lake. El Roble Tapas Bar and The Clover Irish Bar offer a more informal setting. The well stocked supermarket features a deli and cafe. A pharmacy is also located on the site. There is a wonderful Thai spa located within the hotel - as recently featured in the Sunday Times!
Activities
In addition to the 18 hole golf course, on the resort there are tennis courts, a pharmacy, supermarket, numerous restaurants & bars, gym, hairdresser, children's playgrounds, spa (located in the Intercontinental Hotel). The town centre is situated around a magnificent lake. The city of Murcia with it's many attractions is only a short drive away. Along the coast you'll find beautiful fishing villages and gorgeous sandy beaches to enjoy.
