Vacation Rental Description
If you're looking for a bed and breakfast with a difference, then you've found it! Enjoy exploring the fun and picturesque town of Sitges from the romantic and unique setting of Willowmoon, a vintage sailboat with lots of history and character. And with the cosmopolitan and historic cities of Barcelona and Tarragona only half an hour away by train or car, Sitges makes for the ideal base for a sightseeing vacation of the region. An amazing B&B experience, Willowmoon offers the tranquility and atmosphere of a classic sailing boat moored in the secure and secluded marina of Port d'Aiguadolç, a short walk along the beach from the town centre and all that Sitges has to offer. The romantic, peaceful and secure location of Willowmoon's mooring is close to all the activity of the many restaurants and bars within the marina complex but far enough away from them not to be a noise nuisance.
A warm and friendly greeting and a relaxing glass of cava, beer or juice await you here on Willowmoon. The owners Lisa & Vick, who live on board, will be here to help you and provide information about places to visit, restaurants and shopping. You will be given a key to your own private quarters which you can access at all times day or night via a separate entrance. An electronic pass is provided for the security gates in the Marina so you can come and go as you please, but with the knowledge that both you and your belongings will be safe on board.
The bed and breakfast accommodation consists of the wheelhouse with a cosy seating area, mini-fridge and tea & coffee making facilities, as well as crockery and cutlery etc. so that you can prepare food for yourselves to consume onboard if you wish. Below deck the cabin area contains a double berth and a large single berth, with plenty of storage space in the form of a wardrobe, a drawer and several shelves. Plenty of natural light and fresh air from the 2 sky-lights and 4 port holes make the cabin comfortable even in summer. An ensuite bathroom attached contains a WC, sink and corner bath with shower attachment, and offers a lovely view of blue skies above via another 2 sky-lights.
A generous and delicious breakfast is usually served on deck, at a time of your choosing, but can be taken in the wheelhouse if preferred. It comprises a variety of products prepared fresh each morning using local ingredients, such as fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, muesli, freshly baked croissants and rolls and a selection of meats, cheeses, olives, tomatoes etc. with fresh coffee, tea and juice.
Breakfast is included in the price but lunch &/or dinner can also be provided at an additional cost. A typical dinner comprises a soup starter, paella for main course, a traditional Catalan desert of crema catalana and side dishes of a mixed salad and tomato bread, all washed down with a couple of bottles of cava!
The deck, with a hammock and deckchairs in the sun as well as a table and chairs in the shade, is yours to enjoy at all times, to sunbathe, relax or watch the spectacular sunsets over the horizon from this unique location. There will be no other guests on board during your stay so the accommodation and deck is only for you!
Linen, towels, hairdryer & ironing facilities are provided. Central heating throughout. Additional shower, toilet & laundry facilities are available within the marina.
Sitges is served by Barcelona el Prat Airport which is about 15km away. Getting from the airport to Sitges is both cheap and easy on either the RENFE train or MonBus both of which will drop you in the centre of town. Then it is a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride to the marina. Full directions and maps will be sent to you with your booking confirmation
Willowmoon is the ideal location for midweek/weekend breaks, your annual vacation, romantic getaways or even your honeymoon, so go on...treat yourselves!!
Facilities
Port d'Aiguadolç is in a fantastic location in between 2 of Sitges' many beautiful beaches. A short walk along the beach will take you to the town centre and all that Sitges has to offer. Willowmoon's position within the marina complex offers fantastic views of the local beaches, the many lovely boats moored in the marina and the hillside surrounding the town, and at night has superb views of the spectacular sunsets often enjoyed by Sitges. 5 minutes walk to the nearest restaurants and bars (within the marina complex but far enough away not to cause a noise nuisance!), 2 minutes to the local beach with a variety of water sports on offer, and 10 minutes to the town centre. Activities
We will be offering private tours of the beautiful Garraf region in our open-top Saab to places such as the wine regions of Penedes and Priorat, the beautiful Montserrat, and surrounding landmarks, such local monasteries and castles.
It will also be possible to hire us cheaply for a day out (e.g. to Barcelona or Tarragona) where we will take you wherever you want to go, be on-call during the day, and then bring you home again, at whatever time you want, meaning you don't have to worry about train times or not being able to drink so that you can drive back yourselves (part of the journey between Sitges and Barcelona is along a winding seafront road which offers amazing views of the coast).
Whatever you choose, it will be a personal service decided upon by you, and at the end of the day watching the sun go down over the horizon whilst sipping chilled cava or beer from the deck of a beautiful vintage sailboat - what's not to love?!

Then it is a short walk to the marina (approx. 15 mins). A taxi from the airport straight to the marina is another option, although obviously more expensive! Willowmoon is moving from Barcelona to Sitges!! Same fantastic B&B service on a beautiful vintage yacht (even more beautiful in fact as she is currently having a facelift in dry dock!), just a different, but in many ways equally (or more...) fab, location. A fun, picturesque party town, yet laid back and really chilled, with beautiful views, loads of tourist attractions and 17 (!) beaches, two of which are either side of the Port d'Aiguadolc where we'll be moored. And the marina complex itself has a great atmosphere as well with loads of restaurants, bars and a club.
But don't take our word for it that Willowmoon is an amazing Bed & Breakfast experience - check out our facebook page and on-line guest book on our personal website "www.willowmoon.uk.com" to see what our guests have had to say about us. We are a couple in our 40's originally from Brighton in the UK. We purchased Willowmoon in late 2010 and ran her as a B&B from Marina Port Vell in Barcelona, where we enjoyed a fabulous year with many happy guests, and have had some amazing feedback. We have now relocated to Sitges, a bit further down the coast, where we will be offering the same great B&B service and aiming to give many more people a wonderful holiday experience.
On board Willowmoon our main ethos is around friendliness, flexibility and the personal touch. The emphasis is on providing a "home from home" where guests feel looked after and valued within the charming and unique setting of a traditional wooden sail boat, but where they can also enjoy such home comforts as privacy and relaxation.
We really enjoy meeting new people, and embrace the differences in all people and cultures. We love to hear other people's stories & experiences, and believe in the importance of offering guests the perfect, individual and personalised service
