Vacation Rental Description

Casa Case is situated on a quiet, residential urbanisation. From the villa there are spectacular views of the mountains and countryside (and sea from the first floor veranda) which make this a perfect setting for your holiday.
The unique layout of Casa Case makes it ideal for groups or extended families.

On the ground floor of the main house is a large lounge/dining room and open kitchen, 2 twin-bedded rooms and a shower room. The living room has sofas seating 8 and dining tables and chairs seating 14 (more can be added). There is a TV (satelite) and DVD player and lots of DVDs, CDs, books and board games for your use. The kitchen has a large range-style cooker with 5 rings, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and kettle.

On the first floor is 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and veranda.

A washing machine, iron and board are located in the basement.

There are 4 guest suites, 2 either side of the main house. Each guest suite consists of 1 double bedroom with en-suite wet room and a lounge with sofas, table and 2 chairs and a fridge with tea/coffee making facilities. Each suite also has a TV (local) and DVD player. One of the suites has slightly different proportions to allow for a wheelchair to turn (please note that there is one step up from the terrace and two steps from the terrace into the house).

We have 4 single folding beds available (suitable for children, two travel cots and two high chairs, which can be placed to suit your party, for 30 euros per bed per week.

Casa Case is set in over 4500 m2 of private, completely enclosed gardens. The 15m long swimming pool slopes gently from zero to 1.5m. There is a 40m long terrace and lawn, ideal for sunbathing (chairs, loungers and umbrellas are provided).

Just inside the main gate is a parking area providing ample parking for 4 or more cars amongst the trees.

In a lower section of the garden is a large Barbecue, alfresco dining area (tables, chairs and more umbrellas are provided) and boule/petangue court (boule provided). There are also several paths for walks around the garden and natural areas.

About 300 m from Casa Case is La Tasca, a small bar/restaurant. Just outside is a multi-purpose games area (marked for basketball, football, etc), a childrens play area and boule court. A little further along the road is a chapel where services are held on Saturday evenings in summer. Nearby is the large urbanisation swimming pool and childrens' pool. About 5 mins from Casa Case are the urbanisation tennis courts (please bring your own raquets).

Within a few minutes drive of Casa Case are several Blue Flag beaches which rarely get overcrowded. The nearest (and our favourite) of these is Sant Jordi which has a gently shelving, sandy beach and it’s own Knights Templar castle.

The village of L’Ametlla de Mar (almond by the sea) is a delightful fishing village. It has lots of narrow streets and squares with plenty of bars and restaurants where you can sit in the sun watching the world go by and sample the local delicacies.

Large luxury villa with an enormous (15 metre long) private pool set in over 4,500 square metres of enclosed gardens in the exclusive, tranquil, residential area of Sant Jordi d'Alfama on the Costa Dorada. This area of Spain is largely undiscovered and unspoilt by mass tourism. Casa Case has been delightfully furnished and well equipped to provide spacious accommodation for up to 14 people in comfort. The unique layout of this villa makes it particularly suitable for groups of adults as four of the double-bedrooms have their own individual lounge and the master suite has it’s own balcony thus providing private space if required. We also have a travel cot and highchair and four additional folding single beds (suitable for children) available for €30 or £30 per bed per week.

There are lots of fiestas, concerts and special activities, especially during the summer. Some of the popular local fiestas include:
May/June - Corpus Christi – where the village streets are decorated with carpets of flowers.
July – L’Ametlla - Noodle cooking contest
July – Tortosa Renaisance Festival – market stalls, street entertainers, dancing and more.
August – Various free open-air concerts
August – L’Ametlla – Rice cooking contest

The village of L’Ametlla de Mar (almond by the sea) is a delightful fishing village. It has lots of narrow streets and squares with plenty of bars and restaurants where you can sit in the sun watching the world go by and sample the local delicacies.

The surrounding countryside is abundant with olive and almond groves. A little further inland the olive groves give way to pine trees and the Sierra de la Mar (mountains of the sea). A drive into the mountains, exploring the small villages gives you a real sense of Spain.

Within about 30 mins drive are:-
Tortosa - where a fantastic Renaissance Festival is held in July each year.
Tarragona - this was the Roman capital of the Iberian Province and has lots of Roman remains scattered about the town.
Port Aventura
Aquapolis
Ebro Delta - natural area, great for bird watching

Rentals normally commence at 4pm on the arrival day and end at 10am on departure day. Please note: * The prices are based on 14 people.
