Casa Ribera is a delightful, newly built cottage with two-bedrooms all on one level, with an open plan living room / dining room / fitted kitchen with washing m/c and fridge freezer. It has a shower room with w/c and basin.

Every room comes with a pleasing and tranquil view and all windows have fly screens and blinds. Furnished with consideration for the guests and all baby facilities and needs are provided. For your entertainment there is English TV, DVD player, CD Stereo system and a good range of books and games to idle away your time.

Ideal for the family with small children, even babies, it is just 5 mins out of Tortosa town, and less than 20 minutes off the motorway from the coast of Costa Daurada and Ebro Delta. The gardens lead directly to the banks of the river Ebro, perfect for relaxing or fishing.

The cottage is attached to the "Villa Ebre" but you are assured of your privacy. You can sit out peacefully or dine "al fresco" on your covered patio, with views to the swimming pool surrounded by interesting potted plants, or sunbathe on the lawned area next to the cottage.

Ample sun loungers adorn the well designed poolside and outdoor kitchen area with additional b-b-q. Next to the poolside is a playground area on grass with a slide, swings, climbing frame and an outside table tennis table for the "bigger" kids.

Casa Ribera is an idyllic location with well laid out orchard gardens that dips its toes into the magnificent Ebro River. A secluded area is on the river bank to fish or just to "chill out" and dream. All this natural beauty on hand with charming bars and delicious food served up in restaurants in Tortosa and neighbouring villages.

Not to mention that 20 minutes away you can be dining out on fresh seafood overlooking colourful marinas on the Costa Daurada and stroll along deserted sandy beaches.

The Els Ports (mountainous natural parks) are marvellous for mountain biking. We can take you to a bike hire shop and also drop you off for an adrenalin fueled ride. For the more sedate cyclists, the large Ebro Delta is flat and with a huge range of birds to watch wading in the rice fields. This whole area is a bird-watcher's delight.

Whatever your choice of activity is, Casa Ribera is a favourite and popular pivotal point for the Lower Ebro Valley visitors for its sporting diversity, its proximity to Terra Alta Wineries, the historical attractions of Tarragona, trips to Salou and Port Aventura or Waterparks, and to go exploring in either Barcelona or Valencia by train.

We also offer the choice of shorter stays, mini-breaks or even a 1 night stay outside of peak holiday seasons, ideal for those considering relocation and retirement to experience "Catalonia".

All linen and towels, electricity and gas are included in the price. We can provide a maid service on departure if required.

Being on one level, the cottage is suitable for people with partial mobility.

Port Aventura and Caribe WaterPark are a 40 minute drive away, close to the bustling resort of Salou and the beautiful historical city of Tarragona. The beaches of the Costa Dorada are a 20 minute drive, where you will find beautiful beaches and a range of watersport activities.. We are situated right on the edge of the natural parcs, with a wide range of activities available.

The cottage itself is furnished to a high standard, with everything you could need to provide you with a care-free, enjoyable holiday. The kitchen is fully equipped and along with the usual kitchen items, there is a washing maching, toaster, kettle, coffee-maker, iron and ironing board. There is a dining table seating 6 people. Digital TV means you won't even miss your favourite TV programmes and a DVD player and CD player/radio help to make your stay comfortable and relaxed.

Outside, there is your own private, covered terrace complete with an outdoor dining table for 6, loungers and your own b-b-q. Just a few steps away is the swimming pool and a small play area for children. Both pool and play area are within easy sight of the cottage. There is an outdoor kitchen area in addition to your private b-b-q. These facilities are shared with the owners.

We can provide a baby/toddler pack if required for a small additional cost.

We require a deposit of 20% payable on booking, balance payable 8 weeks before holiday start. Payment is by sterling cheque.
