Vacation Rental Description
Elegant,newly refurbished villa of 325m2, only 20 minutes walk to Castelldefels beach,which is one of the longest stretches of beach in Spain,running for nearly 13km.The railway station is located 15 minutes walk from the villa and enables access to Barcelona(25 minutes) and Sitges(10 minutes),for a very reasonable price of 75 cents to Barcelona and 2 euros to Sitges.The bus stops and drops off and picks up only 150m from from front door,taking you to the beach or Castelldefels pueblo,all once again for very reasonable prices. The villa is located at the top of a hill and is surrounded on 3 sides by pine trees.On the fourth side is a low-rise apartment building.
The villa has 4 double bedrooms,with 1 double bed,2 single beds,1 single bed and 1 double bed.On the same floor is a communal bathroom with bath and shower mixer tap,bidet,basin and wc.The main bedroom has an en-suite with shower cubicle,wc,bidet and basin.All bedrooms have terraces where one can relax and enjoy the pine trees.
On the ground floor,which is all largely open-plan,there is a very modern kitchen,equipped to a very high standard,a dining area with a table for 10,a lounge with a 42in TV with satellite and a DVD player.There is also another large room which has a sofa-bed for 2,leading into a separate large cloakroom with wc and sink.
The basement allows access to the pool area and is the second entrance/exit to the villa.
In addition there is a separate apartment separated from the main villa by only 10m or so.This has a double bedroom,a walkthrough bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower cubicle,sink and wc.
The whole plot of land is 1350m2 and has 4 large terraces at different levels.The first is the drive,where up to 5/6 cars could be parked,the next terrace is about 15m*15m and is laid to stone paving and so can be used for football,cricket or just lounging in a hammock between the trees in the shade.
The lower level is where the pool is located.It is 9m by 5m and is 2m deep in its entirety.There is no shallow end and access is via pool ladder.Many pool chairs and loungers are provided.
The fourth terrace is located on a different level outside the living room and is where the external dining tables and chairs are positioned.The terrace is sheltered from the intensity of the sun in the day and is ideal for dining alfresco on those long sultry nights.A bar-b-q is also available on this terrace and one of the lower ones.
The garage has a washing machine and tumble drier.
There is also yet another terrace which is best described as a basketball court(it was in fact used at one time as pilotta court).Kids can have a ball here as it is completely safe.
Another garden area is situated next to the pool terrace,containing a couple of rather aged artificial putting greens!
The villa is easily accessed by car from the airport,being only a 15 minute drive down the motorway.
Barcelona and all its many and varied attractions are also only 30 minutes away by car and in Summer, presents no problems for parking.
A simple welcome pack is provided on arrival,which should cater for your immediate needs and a local person will be on hand to answer any questions you may have as to the functioning of the house and its appliances or about the surrounding area.

The area known as Castelldefels Playa is very popular with people from Barcelona and as such offers every modern amenity one could think of,from great restaurants of all culinary types to beach bars ,cafes and salsa clubs.The area is served by many different types of shops and supermarkets.

The rental is for a maximum of 12 people.If more than 12 people wish to stay,then an additional rental amount of 250euros/week would be charged..A security deposit of 650 euros is payable with the final balance and is refundable 2 weeks after departure.25% of rental is payable on reservation and the balance is due 6 weeks before the holiday begins.An additional charge for bed linen(100euros/wk) and bath/beach towels(150euros/wk) is also levied unless the client wishes to make their own arrangements.A baby's travel cot and dining chair are each available to rent for 65euros/week.
