Vacation Rental Description
End of terrace house in quiet semi rural location with separate gated access and walled terrace safe for young children. Space for paddling pool and sunbathing. Large living/dining area with fully fitted kitchen. Washing Machine, Fridge/freezer, microwave, full oven and ceramic hob. All kitchen utensils and equipment supplied including kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Clothes drying areas. Bathroom with full bath and shower over. TV, Video and satellite receiver. Bedside lighting. Small terrace off main double bedroom. Second bedroom has twin beds. All beds have spring mattresses, not foam. Woodburning stove and freestanding radiators for winter use. Outdoor patio furniture. Two bed settees in lounge. Ceiling fans in all rooms. Outside storage for beach gear and tap to clean off sand/fill paddling pool. Stair gate, travel cot and high chair available. Parking outside house.
Facilities
Linen hire available at additional cost. Woodburning stove for winter plus radiators. Lidl 200 metres Bakery 300 metres. Shops, banks, clinics, market, restaurants and bars in L'Escala village 15 minutes walk. L'Escala famous for anchovies and fish restaurants. Mid-day menus from about 8 euros. Weekly Sunday market. Carrefour, Bon Preu, L'Esclat and Aldi in L'Escala and smaller general stores. Nearest beach is two minutes walk from the house enabling visitors to pop back for meals etc. Five further beaches along the same coastal path. Nearly all beaches have Blue Flag. There is a little tractor train which goes from Empuries via L'Escala to Cala Montgo, another beautiful safe beach. The ruins of Empuries are world famous being Greco/Roman and are about 500 metres from the house (free on Mondays). Many walks nearby along coastal path. Horseriding and surfing nearby. San Marti, medieval village 15 minutes walk from house.
Activities
Eight excellent golf courses within 30 minutes drive. All water Sports available at Riells - 1 mile from house, or San Pere Pescador about 15 minutes drive. Pedalloes on other beaches.Bike hire in L'Escala, cycle tracks near to house well signposted. Quad bike hire available. Aiguamolls Bird Sanctuary about 20 minutes by car- good wetlands area for migrating birds. Wildlife Park near to Torroella. Excellent selection of shops in L'Escala, Girona and la Roca outlet village (about 1 hour by car). Boat trips from the marina daily. Large Water Park at Rosas, about 30 minutes drive.
Children's playground about 10 minutes from house towards San Marti or towards Albons. Indoor pool in L'Escala.
Wide variety of restaurants from tapas bars to first class fish restaurants. Children's menus at some restaurants and several good pizzerias. Loose wine available for home use. Take away chicken and other roast dishes available nearby.

- Nearest Airport : Girona at 60 kilometers distance;
- Nearest Train Station : Perpignan at 80 kilometers distance
- Nearest Town : Barcelona at 150 kilometers distance
- Travel Info: The house is easily accessible by road, rail and air. The nearest airports are Girona, about 40 minutes drive or Perpignan, about an hour, Barcelona about 90 minutes. There is a good bus service from Barcelona and Girona centres to L'Escala. The nearest main railway stations are Figueres and Girona, about 30 minutes away. We can arrange private transfers with English drivers, from Girona. By car, the house is within 20 minutes of the main A7 motorway.

20% deposit, balance 8 weeks before arrival. £200 security deposit. Payment by U.K.cheque in sterling, bank transfer or PAYPAL. All charges to be borne by renter. Sterling rates can be converted to euros if renter is in EU area and paid to Spanish bank. Rental price is for a maximum of 4 persons per week. Up to two additional persons can be added at a supplement. Linen is not included but can be hired at additional cost. Transfers from Girona can be arranged at additional cost.
