Only about 60 miles after the French border inbetween the mediterranean town LLORET DE MAR (lively town 5 miles away) and TOSSA DE MAR (lovely old town with castle, 2 miles away) you can find a holiday resort called "Santa Maria de Llorell". The houses and villas are privately owned. There are German, British, French, Swiss, Dutch, Belgians and other nationalities living in well kept houses and villas on the green hills descending towards the sandy private beach. A steady wind coming down from the distant Pyrenees cools the area nicely even in mid summer. Only cars with a sticker are allowed to enter the guarded and fenced community so the clean sandy private beach situated between rocks and trees is never overcrowded. You can call yourself lucky when you can find an accommodation in Sta. Maria de Llorell during high season, because it is one of the most sought after holiday resorts in the Costa Brava for families.

You can enjoy water-skiing, windsurfing, sailing and diving possibilities (sports gear can be rented) as well as fun activities and boat trips. Snorkelling fanatics find plenty of interesting places around the rocks and by the nearby tiny islands. At the beach restaurant you can find reasonably priced snacks, cool beers, a billiard table and other activities.

A supermarket and 4 tennis courts are close to the entrance of the community and just around the corner one can take part in the various daily activities at the camping place, visit their swimming pool or open air disco in the evenings. Should you be in the need of medical care, there is also an English speaking resident doctor during the summer time at Cale Llevado. Just in case there is something you can’t find in our supermarket, or if it is closed, you can visit the well stocked one at the camping site and for the hungry ones, there is an attractive restaurant offering reasonably priced meals.

Tossa de Mar often called the “Pearl of the Mediterranean” or the “Blue Paradise” is one of the few small towns, which despite being affected by tourism, has kept its flair and its identity. The deep blue sea, the wide bay with fine sandy beaches the friendly open-minded people and the lovely old town “Villa Vella” will surely fascinate you as well as it has done the many visitors before you.
One can also stroll around one of the best preserved castles in the whole of Spain where Spanish and foreign visitors enjoy the atmosphere of old times and frequent the many romantic restaurants.During the main season you can also take a trip on a glass bottom boat or look down on the town from above while parasailing.

Lloret de Mar with its wide and buzzing beach is in summer is the place for the active ones. Plenty of sports and other activities and hundreds of discothèques transform the destination of many bus tour companies from a somehow quiet place for old-age pensioners in spring and autumn into an entertainment heaven for the young.

From Gerona
35 km from Gerona airport. Drive in direction “St. Feliu”, after about 20 km take exit “Tossa de Mar” at the roundabouts follow the signs to “Tossa de Mar”. 12 km later, on a winding road through the woods, you reach “Tossa de Mar”. Follow the sign to “Lloret de Mar”, up the hill and after 3,5 km is the camping site “Cala Llevado” on the left. The entrance to the urbanisation “Sta. Maria de Llorell is the next on the left.

From Barcelona
75 km from Barcelona airport. Drive in direction “Gerona”, take the exit to “Lloret de Mar” follow the sign to “Tossa de Mar”. Winding road up the hill. Immediately after the highest point, descending towards Tossa ,the entrance to the residential area of “Sta. Maria de Llorell” is on the right.

AMPURIABRAVA - ROSAS - AMPURIAS - CADAQUES Ampuriabrava is one of the worlds largest marina with its own airport. In front of your house you park the car, walk through the house and leave by boat on the canal. Ampurias, situated in the Bay of Roses is a very historical place. Emporion (greek for market) with lots of excavations of temples, basilicas and artifacts dating back to 575 BC. Cadaques is the most charming town on the Costa Brava. Cadaques is a Summer destination for tourists from all obver the world and especially since Salvador Dali moved to Port Lligat many artists got attracted by this village like Pablo Picasso, Andre Breton, Paul Eluard, Man Ray, Max Ernst and many others.

FIGUERES with the Salvador Dali museum. If you reserve enough time, you could on the way back choose the coastal road to Perpignan (F) with its beautiful landscape.

The holiday house is semidetached and is situated close to the entrance of the urbanisation.

All floors are tiled, doors and windows are secured with wrought iron. Living room with table for 6 an open fire place, ceiling van, sofa bed, SAT/TV, sliding doors to two terraces on two different levels, stonewalled BBQ. 2 bedrooms with each two single beds, the master bedroom is with balcony and sea view. Both rooms are equipped with stand up fans. Kitchen is fitted and well stacked with crockery and glasses. It has got a Ceran-hob, oven, microwave, big fridge with seperate freezer compartment and a washing machine. Bathroom with shower, WC, washbasin and plenty of cupboards. Dogs are allowed. A private parking place on the road is marked with the house number 28. To the beach it is about 3 minutes by car and 12 minutes on foot. The way back is uphill and therefor considerably longer.

Arrival day is Friday not before 16.00 h Departure Friday before 10.00 h The rental price includes water and electricity, all taxes except car sticker (€ 10.--), usage of car park place. NOT included is: Bedlinnen, towels and household artikels (soap, toilet paper, cleaning material etc.) as well as gas for the room heater (when the bottle is empty you can get replacement for about € 12.-- from our support service). Bedlinnen and towels can be rented from our house administration. End cleaning: € 70.— is charged with rental price! Deposit: € 100.— which serves as a guarantee for damages to the house or breakage of porcelain and glass during your stay. Please clear ahead of time if your insurance is covering possible damage in a holiday house in Spain. When there is no breakage or damage we reimburse the full ammount 2 to maximum of 3 weeks after the end of your holiday.
