Las Palmeras is a small, familiar, quiet and very comfortable campingsite. It is situated in the countryside, surrounded by fields and trees and near the natural-reserve “Els Aiguamolls de l’Empordà “. A path of about 200 m. takes you to along beach with fine sand, that declines gently into the sea, so that is safe for the children. The beach forms part of the bay of Rosas, an ideal place for windsurfing and sailing.
The nice little village St. Pere Pescador is about 1 Km. from the campsite. It is an agricultural village (mainly fruitgrowing) far from the mass-turism.
The campsite is divided in pitches of 75-110m2., (some of them with water and drain) with shade and power points (220v,5A) and two small undivided areas. Throughout the campingsite there are small units with fountains and sinks.
Our sanitary instalations are new and always kept clean. It is provided with free hot water, individual cabins, washbasins and W.C. for children, bath for babies and a family unit.You will also find a place with wasching-machines,a dryer and iron at your disposal.
The supermarket is open every day and provides everything you could possibly need at reasonable prices: fresh bread, milk, drinks, meat, vegetables, newspaper, magazines, camping-gas, etc.... And if you do not feel like cooking, our take-away service is available during the high season.
The bar,restaurant, terrace, garden and pool( heated during the low season) make a pleasant spot where you can enjoy our home made cooking, have a drink or an ice-cream, play billiard, bath or sun-bath , read or simply watch T.V. At night, twice a week there are perfomances and live-music.
The sport area consists of a gym, tennis, fronton, basketball, bowls, rental of bicycles, 5 a side-football , tabletennis and other games. Further is a bar and a sports shop . And for the little ones there are two playgrounds and in the afternoon we offer them an animation programme(games,drawing,working with clay etc...).
Visitors interested in art and culture will not be disappointed as many excursions ( also by bicycle) can be made to interesting places at short distance from the campingsite. Such as the Empuries’ s ruins, Dalí museum, romanesque churches , etc......During the summer the villages in the surroundings celebrate their “fiestas” with dances and local folklore.
We also care about the environment. That is why we have a sewage disposal, separate containers for the waste and energy-saving systems, amog other things.
A cash dispenser, public telephone, safe deposit boxes, currency exchange, free carwash, night-watchmen, bungalows for up to 6 people and a very friendly treatment are some of the other services we put at your disposal, so that you can spend a pleasant holidays at las Palmeras.
