Can Xargay is a millennial country house of XI century with a special charm. It is situated in Mata´s village and 2 km. from Banyoles lake. 
 
Its antiquity states it as one of the first houses of the Mata village. 
It is situated at the Pla de l´Estany´s heart, 175 metres high. It is located in a privileged place since it lays between the sea and the mountains.  
 
In front of the country house you can see the Rocacorba´s mountain range while in the north mountainside, the majestic Pirineu imposes.  
 
It is appropriate to spend some days with the friends, family reunions, partying, birthdays… or just to spend some calm and break days  
 
 
 
The whole house has got one independent apartment for 10/16 persons - there is the possibility to increase this number - with 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a kitchen, a dinning-room, a living-room, a reading room, a fireplace, a play-room. A barbecue in the garden with a covered porch and a threshing-floor.  
 
The perfect situation of the house allows you to do several excursions around Pla de l’Estany by bike or on foot, through the lake surroundings declared of natural interest. You can also visit Girona province since the house lays in the centre of it. Also, there are horses 2 km. far. Extensive tourist information is found at the house. 
 
The house is situated 25 km. far from the International Aiport of Girona-Costa Brava and 115 km. from Barcelona city.
