La Barceloneta, the traditional quarter of sailors and fishermen, is famous for its restaurants. Situated next to the Olympic Port with over forty bars and restaurants, the neighborhood has become known for its nightlife. It also has over 4 kilometers of beaches which offer all types of nautical sports.
Very close to a train station, a metro stop and various bus lines that allow easy access to the rest of the city and other tourist spots, such as Las Ramblas, the Sagrada Familia or Güell Park.
This lovely old fisherman's neighbourhood is just next to the city center also, but jutting out into the sea. In recent years, the neighbourhood has been rejuvenated, in great part due to the arrival of a large Asian community. The best location if you are looking for beaches, traditional seafood restaurants and beautiful sunsets.
