River Ebro Apartments have an enviable position on the banks of the River Ebro only a few minutes walk from all the amenities of a small rural town. Here you can enjoy a holiday away from the well-worn tourist traps amid stunning mountain scenery and yet still be only 25 minutes drive from the Costa Dorada.
The property is a typical 4 storey Spanish village house carefully converted to comfortable holiday apartments. The top floor apartment is bright and spacious and accomodates up to 4 people. It has been furnished and equipped to a high standard so that it is a true "home from home" The kitchen has granite worktops, a full size hob, oven,a washing machine, and iron and all the utensils, pots and pans that you are likely to need. The lounge has Satellite TV (Sky freeview), DVD, CD/radio, books and games. The kitchen and lounge lead on to an outdoor dining-terrace at the front of the house which enjoys a magnificent view over the river and to the mountains. At the rear of the property is a further private roof-terrace with sunloungers and a hammock. Guests also have free use of our 5 mountain bikes.
The Ebro itself is a premier fishing location famous for its huge catfish and carp. Fishing guides are available nearby as are boat trips and canoe hire. If you are an angler we have a garage for you to safely store your gear With no less than 3 Natural Parks (Montsant, Els Ports and the Ebro Delta) it is an ideal location for nature lovers and birdwatchers and there are a wealth of walking and cycling trails to suit every ability. The region is also rich in history and there are picturesque villages, castles and monasteries to explore. Against the stunning landscapes they also provide plenty of subject matter for the artist or photographer. Just 45 minutes away is the World Heritage Site of Tarragona which has some of the best Roman remains outside of Italy. Near Tarragona is the theme park of Port Aventura - ideal for a fun-filled day and a change of pace especially if your party includes young ones. The vibrant city of Barcelona is a only a 2 hour drive or train journey and again makes a very worthwhile day-trip. Mora d'Ebre itself has a surprisingly wide variety of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and stylish shops – even an Internet café. Nevertheless, it is still very much a rural Spanish town and along with the modern facilities you are just as likely to see farmers driving tractors through town with their trailers brimming with cherries, peaches, grapes, almonds or olives.
